Fuel leak on Stihl leaf blower.

Stihl BG86 leaf blower and there is a slight fuel leak. It’s bad enough it needs fixed. If I take the air cleaner off it looks like fuel is just running out of the carb. Any ideas or common cause?

I think I found it, some kind of fuel line. It comes out of the top of the fuel tank and goes to the carb, there are two of them. One was leaking. I’m not sure if it has a siphon effect or with a warming day it pressurizes a little.

Yep, pressure is the culprit. I have weed eater that required fuel line replacement. It's leaked around the line an hole in tank ever since when fuel temperature rises.

Stihl should have a fuel line kit for that model blower. Probably not inexpensive but if not the correct size tube will just leak again and cheap materials will either get brittle or soften- turn to mush.

This hose was a clear material, maybe had turned yellow and brittle. I went to the local Ace Hardware and they sold me about a foot and a half of a black fuel line for a dollar. The bad line was just a couple of inches long.
