The day the music died.

Tommy DeCarlo, who took over as the singer for Boston after Brad Delps demise, passed away. He had brain cancer.
You know, I hate clicking "Good Post" for some of these... but I appreciate the information.

Boston was a great band, with any singer. My band used to cover Foreplay, but we used it as an intro to something other than Long Time, as the shift in gears between those two songs always felt unnatural to me.

Rocked a zillion times to the Boston album. Sad about original's and replacement's deaths.

How do you know that they are all female
I wouldn't want to be a gay in their society. Stoning or worse death.
I just assumed on that basis they would be female.
Actually I'd settle for the slutty ones.
Had enough of the virgin thing in the day when it was appropriate.

I saw an article about the Boston guy. I knew something was wrong when they said he was 60. Too young to really be their "front man". It's really just it's own cover band now. Only 1 original member in it.

It seems like every once-popular band is it's own cover band with one original member. And they don't release previously unissued music until their audience has faded away. $2pid.

Seals and Croft, Chad and Jeremy, Peter and Gordon, etc., great duo's all. I don't much think about them these days. Thanks for the reminder of what we were gifted.

So many of them yet they have the nerve to charge big name ticket prices. Awhile back an old high school friend said she was all excited to go see 38 Special. I said you do realize that there is only 1 original member left? She didn't seem to care.

From the days when you could name a band after a handgun, and no one blinked twice. :p

Only good hit I can remember from them was "Hold on Loosely". I guess they had a resurgence with "Back to Paradise," but that was a pretty crappy vanilla song, IMO.

To be fair, even top-shelf bands like the Rolling Stones and the Who only have two original members left.

I may be hung in effigy for this, but it's time for Jagger to hang it up and write his memoirs.
I couldn't give a darn aboot his memoir.
I'm actually fed up with many of their songs.
The local oldies stations seem to think only the Stoned, Eagles and Queen existed in the past.
Over and over and over and over...
