Was clued to this forum from a fellow member on a firearms board after posting a thread on a hydraulic problem with a Mahindra 3016 Shuttle. Found out how to check fluid levels but now I'm trying to figure out how to remove the shaft from the brush hog attachment so I can take the tractor to the experts to figure out why I have now power to lift the brush hog off the ground and why the front end loader moves glacially slow.

Are you talking the pto shaft where it connects to the tractor? If so sometimes there is a spring loaded button you have to press in as you pull the shaft loose. Some also have a collar you slide to get the shaft loose.

Yup, I figured it out after watching a you tube video. I knew it was something simple but I couldn't remember, and for the life of me I can't find where I hid the manual for the brush hog. Also found out the hydraulics and the transmission share the same reservoir, and the fluid level is full, but it can't lift up the brush hog, so I'm taking it to the dealer to repair tomorrow.

Has the fluid ever been changed? Almost all of them have a hydraulic filter and a lot also have a screen, these can become plugged.

I'm wondering about the filter as well. I thought they changed the transmission fluid when I had it serviced last year. I know they didn't change the filter. Have about 200 hrs on the unit.
