Those running boards look real good!

@LouNY did you get a new truck? Love the blue!
This past summer I bought a 2022 2500 from an individual and sold my 2019 1500.
Both blue and long boxs.
The 1500 with a 6 1/2 foot box and the hemi................then the 2500 with the 8 foot box and the Cummins
both RAMs 1.jpg

If you tow anything at all you are going to LOVE that 2500 with the Cummins!

That was the main reason for the change, plus I like the low reving high torque engines.

Not a big load for the truck but each block is 3600 pounds, 3 and 1/2 blocks per load made 3 trips.
2nd load of blocks 12,600 pounds 2.jpg

Wow! How do you get those heavy things on and off the trailer?

The Branson 8050 will lift and carry them. It is the maximum she wants. And I sure take it smooth and easy with them hanging in front of her. I used those for my salted sand shed stacking them 2 high.

Is that "Blue Streak"? I had a 2015 1500 that was Blue Streak and it is/was my favorite color to date. When I got my 2020 they had discontinued it, so I got Patriot Blue. It was OK. I really like Blue...

When I got my '24 F250 they didn't have a "real" blue - only "Anti-Matter Blue" which is nearly black, although it can look a bit blue in the right light. Strange thing is that in the lower trims they did have a brighter blue - can't remember what it was called.

Here's a pic of my '15:

Both are listed as being dressed in "Patriot Blue Pearl Coat",
I do like blue also.

Love that blue RAM. Anti-Matter Blue is lame, it isn't a blue, and it sure isn't the old blue- Blue Jean.

My poor truck!

A couple of weeks ago another truck driver was on a break, and staying at a hotel about 4 miles from our terminal, he called me and said they had a terrible hail storm the previous night, said he had just parked his pickup under a tree and was in it when it started, said it was golf ball size coming down, said it was teeth jarring sitting in the truck, the tree slowed the velocity down some, but he still had damage, I stopped and looked at my truck expecting sever damage, but didn't look that closely ... Looked like this!

I've not been feeling well for a couple of weeks ... Some kind of flu-bug, still have stuffy head, runny nose, cough, but the diarrhea and coughing up gunk has stopped ... And dealing with the recent death of my cat ...

Yesterday I had just parked my pickup truck in the barn and noticed some "white freckles" on my hood, I looked closer and noticed that the layer of grime that builds up from sitting in my bosses trucking terminal was been blasted off by the hail, then I started noticing dents ... Uggg!

I then walked over to my tractor to get the keys, and then in that light and angle noticed the whole right side of the truck had been peppered with 1/4" dents! Double UGGG!

The roof of course also got it!

I got the keys and started back by it then I noticed this HUGE DENT in the hood! How in the world did I not see that??!

IMG_20260514_161853460.jpg

It actually broke/cracked the paint! All these dents have that same lighter spot in them where the film of grime was blasted off!

A couple of years ago it wasn't anywhere near as bad as this, and it was just over $6,000.00 ... I have insurance with $1K deductible ... I tried repeatedly to contact my local agent yesterday afternoon, just leave a message ... I tried to go online to start a claim, but they want date and exact time, can't proceed without it... I have no idea of the time, but the storm was on 4/27

Can't believe I didn't notice it, supposed to go back out on the road today, but they still don't have a load for me yet ...

Last time they took the whole truck apart including the headliner ... The hood will need to be painted if they can get it out, might be easier/cheaper to replace it ... ?

Yeah a PDR guy can do amazing work, the problem is they are often busy and with that amount of damage it will take a lot of time and still cost quite a bit. We bought a new car that had a door ding and they fixed it for me. I talked to the PDR guy some and watched him do it, it seemed like magic. Comprehensive should cover it if your deductible is any better.

Wowzer! I remember you sent me that original pic with "no damage"... Reminds me of the time when some guy side-swiped Dad in the Saab by the 4 corners in a snowstorm. They got out and looked - it was "fine". Next morning in the garage, not so fine...

Have an appointment to see the shop on August 10th ... Earliest available was July 20th ... They are very busy!

I'm headed off to Joplin to pick up a load going out to LA, CA ...

I guess I got time for another storm or two to dent it up some more! Actually calling for more stormy weather over the next couple of days ...

Last time original estimate was just over $2K ... I at first hesitated to get it fixed, as I had $1K deductible... But the insurance company already knew I had hail damage, so if I submitted another/different claim, I figured there would be problems, and overall it's a good looking truck, so why drive around with dents in it!

Wowzer! I remember you sent me that original pic with "no damage"..

I got to thinking about this as I was driving this afternoon ... When the agent called me back this morning, she said that Lebanon (next to where I was parked) got hammered on the 27th, but down closer to where I live got it the next day, which would have been the evening AFTER I stopped and looked at my truck and took the picture. ..

So I don't really know when it happened, or some both days! Or even the following week ...

I'm just surprised that when I got it Sunday morning and drove home, that I didn't notice it until Thursday evening!
