DEF for new truck

My wife has no input on my company’s affairs, Thank the Lord. She’s probably ridden in my truck on average once every 2-3 years. I keep it nice & dirty inside so she won’t want to ride in it.
If she did, I’d be driving some relic truck of the past and farming with open station 2WD International 1066’s, getting myself skin cancer and very little done.

I kept my wife from riding in my truck by removing the passenger side running board from my 4wd 2500HD. Very effective. She's only 5' even.

Buying products in throw away packaging should be avoided if reasonably possible. Just common sense. The container isn't free. You buy it and then throw it in the trash.

I hear they are moving to an Industry best 10 YEAR/100K powertrain warranty.

More manufacturers should give that warranty. It made Hyundai go from being practically unheard of to being the 3rd best selling car in the world in only a short time.

Earlier DEF engines did not engineer this.
But the newer engines have 10% approx less CO2 emission

Nonsense, its just basic chemistry speak. "Carbon emissions" from internal combustion refer primarily to carbon dioxide. Carbon in the FUEL combines with a huge amount of AIR pumping through the engine. You are adding two oxygens (atomic mass 16 each) to each available carbon (mass 12). It's basic chemistry.

Please explain. The engine "inhaled" the same amount of air it "exhaled", so how did it add air mass?

I use Blue DEF exclusively. I buy it from Rural King. They have the best price around me, $12+. Unless I am towing, my 2020 Ram HO barely uses it.

Thats not the way it works at all. You throw the empty def container in the bed of your truck and it eventually blows out into a ditch in front of my house.

I was buying the BlueDEF stuff from Sam's for a while (or was it Costco), but I finally learned that it really doesn't matter so I've been going with the SuperTech from Walmart for the last 8 months. I will say their jug/spout system sucks though... Always manage to dribble some on the ground or my shoe. I will buy from a truck stop pump if I think the place is busy enough to move it quickly. Most are, being truck stops and all.

Air weighs ~0.0807 lbs. per cubic foot; CO2 would weigh the same + combustion remains. Got it.
That equates to a diesel engine intake of 272.6 cubic feet of air to burn 1G of diesel fuel.
The typical compression/diesel engine air to fuel ratio, under load, is 14/1, at idle can be 70/1.

My new truck ( Ram 3500 ) is diesel. So - DEF is also in the picture. However - there is SUCH a wide range of prices between different brands. Examples ...... Kleen DEF - $56/ 2.5 gal. Blue DEF - $17/ 2.5 gal. For those of you, in the know. Is this price difference justified?

It jumps around like that everywhere. If you are close to a Sams Club store you can get the Blue DEF for $12. I use Rural Kings brand. It is $6.98 for 2.5 gallons. You can buy it at truck stops at the pump just like gasoline or diesel. Usually way less than $3 a gallon. Shop around. A lot of the auto parts stores have their own brand for varying prices also. It doesn't spoil that I know of so if you find a good buy get several. I usually keep 5 gallons in the basement. My Ford will go about 6000 miles on a full tank. If I tow a lot it takes more.
