This is a newer or diff model of the 029 than mine. I showed you a picture of mine w the circle drawn around the vent tube coming up from the gas tank. I wish mine WAS like yours. Thank you anyway. The vent tube for the gas tank is on the gas tank and not under the carb air filter cover. You can see the vent tube in this picture.
The hose you have circled is your fuel delivery hose not the fuel tank vent hose. This is a newer or diff model of the 029 than mine. I showed you a picture of mine w the circle drawn around the vent tube coming up from the gas tank. I wish mine WAS like yours. Thank you anyway.
Doesn't the fuel delivery hose go to the carb? This one does not, but I will look again on either monday or tues and post some more pics...thanks for your follow-upThe hose you have circled is your fuel delivery hose not the fuel tank vent hose.
The hose that you have circled is the same hose that is attached to your carburetor that you see coming out of the orange holder. It just bends and fits into the plastic housing so that the carb tube slides into it. The impulse hose is on the right side of the bottom of the carb just opposite of the fuel hose.Doesn't the fuel delivery hose go to the carb? It could be the impulse hose maybe, yes?
Ok. When i go out this Tuesday, I'll try viewing piston & get a better look inside. Thanks for your insight !The hose that you have circled is the same hose that is attached to your carburetor that you see coming out of the orange holder. The vent tube is not attached to anything but the fuel tank. It is just a piece if tube that has a couple of set screws inside of it. You can just grab it with needle nose pliers and pull it off. You can try to run the saw with the vent off to see if that is your problem. But I would still pull the muffler and inspect the piston. Just be careful and use some penetrant on the studs before you loosen the nuts.Gravstr
You are 100% correct on the vent hose on the side (my pic enclosed). I do not know how i missed that???? Prob need glasses now.
I'll try to pull the 3 screws off re muffler if i have time. When i came back last week, my refridge/freezer died and it was prob 2-3 wks b4 i was here last. About 50/60lbs of meat went completely bad and leaked blood onto the HWood flrs and it was horrible smelling & horrendous to clean up (4 hrs).
Anyway, the new one is being delivered in 30-45 mins & I'm preparing for delivery.
BTW, where does that vent hose go and how do i access the black vent on the end? Thanks again.
If you look at this video, it shows the poster finds a Blk vent on the end of the vent hose. This is why i was asking. Is this a diff version of my 029?The vent tube is not attached to anything but the fuel tank. It is just a piece if tube that has a couple of set screws inside of it. The saw in this video is a newer version than our saws. From what I can see in the pictures you shared you saw is the same as mine and the vent is not attached to anything but the fuel tank.If you look at this video, it shows the poster finds a Blk vent on the end of the vent hose. This is why i was asking. Is this a diff version of my 029?
Thanks again
