That type of comment will shut people down fast... and don't ask me how I know!
I meet my minister early for Church to help set it up. He would expect nothing less than my standard response "SSDD" every early Sunday morning.

That said, he's more of a friend than a minister.

First time he told me he loved me, I told him "I love you to, but in a non s e x u a l kind of way". It's our running joke now.

He's a great guy and a great friend, but I'm not changing just because he's a minister and he's kind of in my "social circle" LOL

Words you can't write on this forum is getting kind of ridiculous IMO.

I remember the Green Hornet, Amos and Andy, The Shadow Knows Jack Benny and there were many others. The family would gather around the radio on weekend nights listen in.
Our Miss Brooks( with Gale Gordon and Richard Crenna), Ozzie and Harriet, Hopalong Cassidy, Death Valley Days, Don McNeill's Breakfast Club, The Lone Range, Robin Hood, Fibber McGee and Molly, and as you said, many, many others. I remember when I was very young, one Sunday at the old family farm, sitting and listening to the radio (one of those huge floor stand models with push buttons) and during a thunderstorm, lightning struck and buttons from the radio flew across the room and hit my grandfather.

When I was still working and in my late fifties, I told a 20 year old good morning. He said what's so good about it,
That kind of attitude really annoys me. I may not always be Mr. Sunshine, but a response like that makes me wonder who peed in his cornflakes that morning. Totally shuts down any further interaction with that person.

My father often used that same phrase but he didn't mean anything by it.

Some days when someone sez ā€œGood Morningā€ (and it depends on the person), I tell them to NOT tell me how to run my life… :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO:
