Land Pride BP 1572 Busted weld

By blade is shot the weld at the pivot point where you switch from right to left has a broken weld. This blade maybe has 2-3 hours of use. It is setting on a concrete pad and the weld has let loose. Too bad it is about 10years old maybe 15 years old. Anyone else have this happen or just me.

I had the same thing happen on my 5’ blade recently. It appeared to be tack welded in 3 spots. The cylinder was full of ice. That could have popped the top or I broke it when last used and put it away broken (not likely). My friend laid a bead all the way around the top. Everything else will break before that weld will, lol.

I have a RB1572 bought in 2000. It was my only implement to maintain a mile of rough road for over 10 years. After many hours it broke in 2015. Not a broken weld though - worse.

But I was able to repair it and still use it today.

Unfortunately I don’t think LP are well made implements, just chicom junk. I was given one and used it to push snow. The blade bent without a really heavy load on it. Thought about reinforcing it, but didn’t want to waste my time. I cut the 3pt mount off and made it into a ball hitch for easy trailer jockeying. YMMV.
