Good Morning.
24° to start it’s on its way to a high in the middle 30’s, snow tonight.

Spent most of yesterday in front of a computer with Fusion 360. Did not have much success locating friends underground pipes, getting a lot of false (or at least random) readings. Not sure what to make of it, but I couldn’t give him concrete guidance where to hand dig, just a general suggestion.
Did play music last night with a different cast of characters, but had a good time.

Today started by meeting daughter for breakfast, and then taking a holiday table cloth to wife at a holiday market.
Probably do some more 3D modeling, I need to make a trip to the hangar, but no major plans.
It did just dawn on me that I don’t have the driveway markers in, but at least the plow is ready to go.
So maybe put in the driveway markers, at least around the bends, and the edges of the parking lot.

No luck on Jeep, did get 2nd key and locksmith put his reader on and it came up with a short to ground on HVAC.
That is after I replaced the relay and the PWM controller.
Hopefully not the computer, but the wires back/forth seem fine.
Fuses all look good.
His reader picked this up and my cheap OBDII didn't.

67°F and no rain

Project finally completed, can relax. Be tempting just to do that today, but likely not.

At some point during our absence, one young boxer girl at end of her heat escaped from the outdoor crate. Hopefully, she is still a virgin.

Nice meal at the Japanese noodle house with friends.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great tractor day

Good Tractor Morning,

So Dennis, what’s the prognosis on your shoulder ? You can’t keep that up forever 😉. My prostrate gets me up every 3 1/2 to 4 hours. My right shoulder is much better than it was, but I’m still not doing pushups 😉
Is this what we get for all our deck work this past summer ?😂

😉😂
Drew, I was still awake at 4. That’s when I was trying to get back to sleep.

Shoulder is slowly getting better. Everything I read said it just needs time. Not bad pain as when I had to keep icing it, but bothers me with use, so have to stop. Not needing as many pain pills now.

My only motorcycle "accident" was riding my brothers Honda 250 in the winter, went to turn around, and the tire slid on ice and down I went on my left side, hurt my left elbow real bad. Had xrays, they said no breaks, but to this day it still gives me grief.

Good breakfast with all the usual gang. Grabbed some more fry pies at the mennonite meat shop. Picked up more BBQ sandwiches (2 for $5) and a half rack of ribs ($9) using coupons, will be used next week.

43deg out seems warm, snow overnight and temps drop all day tomorrow.

It certainly is running lean, and that is by design. Not much you can adjust on “modern” carbs, usually just the air bleed for idle mixture. Don’t be afraid to use the choke, a small amount when engaging the mower when cold would solve your issue.
which is exactly what I do when I don't want to wait, give it a half shot of choke until mower starts getting up to speed and then off choke
thanks

26F with fog and very light snow @ 15:15, calling for a low of 10F overnight. Low this morning was 24.9F.

Woman snuck out this morning before I got up and did some grocery shopping ... good thing as it was getting slim pickin's around here ...

She's now cleaning the kitchen.

Going to head down here in a few and start trimming up some foam board to fit on either end of the north wall and see if I can't get that put up, at least on the east end (drain pipe for the laundry room is blocking putting up the piece on the west end ... 🤬 )

Getting the drain pipe moved for clearance on the west end will probably require another Fernco coupling which I do not currently have.

Might unload the next set of shelves ... assuming that I can find a place to put all the junk that is on them ... 🤬

Need check/empty the debris collector on the whole house vacuum.

More cleaning/organizing, drain line for the brine tank should be ready.

Beyond that just see what other mischief I can find to get into.

Got one bag of trash brought up last night for Monday.

Revisited the wiring for the well pump the other day and got another look. It's wired up through the original Red Jacket pump control box ... which probably had a start/run cap in it originally:

IMG_3935 copy.jpg

Whoever worked on that and left it in that condition certainly wasn't following "best practices"... idiots ... 🤬

Will eliminate that box and just wire it up through the box that came with the Cycle Sensor ... once I figure out how to remove the KO's on the new box (it's hard plastic, don't want to destroy the box while trying to take out the KO's)

Current pump is a "2 wire" but of course it actually has 3 wires running to it.

Would like wire in a simple on/off switch right there to kill the power at the pump and Cycle Sensor so I don't have to walk over to the breaker box.

Crack in the north wall, now sealed:

Hope everyone is having a decent Saturday ... (y)

Good (Sunday) morning. Overnight Low of 12C and it's presently 18.3C, clear with a howling wind... if anything is going to re-ignite that bushfire, this'll do it. The wind direction should turn it back on what's already burnt, though. Yes, I took the flagpole down.

I'm off to Church in a few minutes and then the rest of the day is His.

That's about it, take care all.
Pretty much the same with me. I still have a motorcycle endorsement on my drivers licenses just in case. 🥴🤠
As do I, although I haven't ridden in over 12 years. I sold my 'bike' (400cc Burgman maxi-scooter) as the rego, here in Tassie, for a bike was the same as a car/ute.

My shoulder injury is finally back to normal after doing PT for two years. The Dr said it was rotator cuff injury but he did not recommend surgery and instead referred me to Pt. Went to a few appointments and then continued on my own.

I work out daily with a routine concentrating mostly on upper body strength. Hoping that will avoid future injuries, so far it is working for me

Not sure what I will get into today. Need to get wife settled after getting up and getting her the 25 pills she takes daily
Great news on the shoulder. (y)

That's lot meds for one day  hope soon count will go down.

Individual MC licensing didn't come here until about 1970 or so. I could have gotten mine just by listing the motorcycles I had owned (V.I.N.s not required). I had decided that after the accident that could have been life changing that I wasn't going to ride EVER again that I didn't need a license.

When I worked at Canadian Pacific RR one of my jobs was to supply the van alley (where they kept the cabooses) with 25 lb block of ice for the ice boxes.Chop a 400 lb block in two then into 8ths and supply 8 ice boxes. There was almost always a case of red flares waiting for me. Most of the other guys wouldn't do it for them, but I had no problem, especially when not only was CPR paying me but I was getting the free flares (the good 30 minute ones) every week. I still have an ice pick from those days, back in the late 60s.

Good evening all. 37ºF for the start, partly cloudy sky, light breeze. Very light wind, sky became overcast, felt like front coming through, and high temp was 62ºF. Made coffee to start day, bike rid, 75 mile, 14.7 average. nap and dinner at Manulito's.
