You Know You Are Old When

Always a weird feeling when you outlive your father. I’m 3 years past, at this point. Does that mean the clock is ticking?

My dad will be gone 30 years this month. I miss him.

Oh, mine's been gone a good bit longer than that. But until recently, I was always younger than his age at passing.

I'm in the same position and have the same thoughts.

invested in learning how to use the improved software than is saved on the task at hand.

Then they change it again.

My laptop updated last week. It took about 10 minutes to boot up, when I juat had to quickly look at something.
Ever since I have been unable to log into my bank website, which is a real pain because that's how I manage my account.

I still am by 12 years! He was 42 when I was born.

A friend of ours had a 6 year old son who called another boy "Tuna". The boy's parents came absolutely unhinged..!

My Dad passed at 62, the results of a lifetime of poor life choices.

At 68, for a few years now in my morning quiet time, I frequently say a prayer of Thanks for being blessed with yet another day more to experience than my Dad had.

Each one is a gift...

My Mom and Dad passed away this summer. After 79 yrs together they couldn't stand being separated. Rip

I see that, over and over, and for some reason find it more comforting than the alternative of one being left without the other to dawdle away alone for another decade. God bless them.

Mom lived to 101 and 8 months. Lucid and reasonably healthy for all but the last 2 months. Dad just couldn't go on without her passing about 60 days later. Long and full lives for both of them. No regrets just the pain of a great loss for all 5 kids and their kids...
My MIL lived about 8 yrs after my FIL passed. She just put her chin up and said I have to live the life I have left, which she did staying active until a stroke took her at 89 yrs.
