Does anyone have recommendations for a reputable shop that does turbo rebuilds?

Before having it rebuilt, have you priced a new one? On my Case bulldozer, I assumed rebuilding the turbo would be cheaper then buying a new one. But when I called both places, the Case dealer had a new one for sale that was less than having it rebuilt!!!

I forget the name of the place that I called. It was in Waco Texas, and it was highly recommended to me, but that was a decade ago.

yeah I did a remain is $2600 and a new turbo is about $3400 I would imagine a rebuild is more cost effective

i will do some searching for the one in Waco

I know these guys are a ways away, but might be worth checking out. You could always ship it to them. I used them quite a bit when I was at the
dealer in AZ.

I've heard good things about Bell Turbo in Oregon, even one of our customers in the Sacramento valley uses them... When I got a new turbo for my F350 their price for a new Borg Warner unit was reasonable...

They are not that hard to rebuild. I did one for a friend's large skid steer about 15 years ago. Just mostly a good pay attention disassembly. Clean all parts. Check turbo for any missing fins, etc. Reassemble with new bearings and seal. Be careful and do a good job. Only used high quality parts. Really was not a tough job at all. His skid steer is still doing fine.

On another note, Eddie did you get your injection pump repaired?

Not yet. I haven't even started on it.
