You trail ride MX bikes?
I wanted hard bags with a keyed lock... a fella has got to keep his ammo safe.I went to the Viking web site.
Gaaaack!
Nothing for me....
But then, I like V4s, singles and two strokes. ;-)
I love it, but I have very modest horse power requirements. I am surrounded by hundreds of miles of 50 mph backcountry highways and I never ride on freeways. I can get it up to 60 if it's not on a hill, but that's about it. It handles my wife and I two up just fine, But I am a proponent of small capacity bikes, and I enjoy working the transmission. It's a very engaging ride as you are constantly paying attention to your revs and torque. It has incredible amount of charm and character and you feel like you stepped back in time when you listen to that single thumper and ride along through the fall leaves.I looked a lot at the RE offerings. Is that a 350cc? I looked at buying the Super Meteor new. Very reasonable pricing. But ended up buying something slightly used.
How do you like it?
Only thing missing is a couple of doors and windows, lolMy bike has hard bags. Heated seats and grips are nice this time of year also.
So sorry to ask this here, it seems there should be a better place but I can't find it. How do you put pictures into your post? If I "attach" a picture, it seems like it takes forever to open in the forum.Had a helluva great time today.View attachment 4341620View attachment 4341621
Post one here now and I try to open it...then we can see if your internet ( just slow for you) or something with the size of the attachment. (effects everybody). So sorry to ask this here, it seems there should be a better place but I can't find it. How do you put pictures into your post? I totally get it. It looks like fun. Cruising a retro bike vs a big fast bike can be more fun. I recently change my sports car from a modern Porsche to an old Z3 and I have a 250cc for on/off road and Triumph Cruiser I'm getting ready to ride now.I love it, but I have very modest horse power requirements. Okay, I may have just been trying to open it before it was finished uploading. Thank you. It would still be nice to know how to put pictures in the body of the text rather than have to open an attachment. I'll figure it out someday. Thank you for the suggestion.Post one here now and I try to open it...then we can see if your internet ( just slow for you) or something with the size of the attachment. (effects everybody).
EDIT:
Never-mind, I just realized that was you on the RE. That attachment popped open instantly for me just all the others, so it just may be your internet is slow.

I'm hearing again, my Grade 9 Woodshop teacher.....Be careful out there, the trees,, the trees...
Yeah, I'm using a phone. That's where all my pictures are. Anyway, no big deal. Thanks for the response. Are you using a phone or a computer to create your posts? Its pretty easy on a computer.
It's not fun if people are getting hurtI was in a dual sport ride at Loretta Lynn's ranch that really was more of a race. At a little store/gas stop one of the riders was on his back in the bed of a pick up truck with a stick poking out from his gut. They had his helmet off and his face was as white as a ghost, almost made me sick to see it. The ambulance arrived just as we were leaving.
Later in the afternoon the doc (guy I was with) went over the bars and broke his collar bone. One of the crew rode his bike back and another took him to our motel in a Gator. I was exhausted when I got back but had to load both bikes on the trailer then drive his Suburban all the way home from Tennessee. What kept me awake was his moaning every time we hit a bump.
The older I get,(now 77) the more reluctant I am to ride my dirt bike off road alone. It's not fun if people are getting hurtI guess that's why I ride alone...
