How are your eyes doing, are they getting better?

He put a gas bubble in the eye, to keep pressure on the laser repair (think spot welding). The bubble has mostly dissipated, but the sight out of that eye is terrible (like looking through frosted glass). He said the repair is holding but the surgery would make my cataract worse, so maybe that's it. Next Dr visit is on 10/23.

59F and sunny @ 11:30, heading to around 71F for the day's high. Low this morning was 45.9F.

Had some light rain showers materialize just to south of us in Stark County last evening but they never quite made it here.

Neighbor lady got back from vacation and came by late yesterday afternoon walking her dogs. Her and the Woman picked a bunch of produce out of the garden and she took a good bit of home with her. Her dogs like beans and squash ...

Trash/Recycle Day is tomorrow so will need to haul the garbage up to the cans at the road. Took the recyclables up early yesterday.

Arbs did not get watered yesterday so that will need to be done.

Have some bills that need scheduled for payment so that's also on the menu.

Now out of fully coated 4 x 4 posts so will get back on coating those today. Have a bunch that only need one side coated so I should be able to get enough done to complete the north side of the fence.

Need to dole out another week's worth of meds and refill the bird feeders as well.

Might work on getting those posts we planted yesterday plumb if I have any extra time.

Today is Thanksgiving up here in Canuckistan. I didn't realize it, now I know why nobody wants to answer the phone. I guess I will be celebrating the American Thanksgiving instead. As long as I do one of them every year I am happy.

Able get good couple hours leave blowing done until swirling increase.
While down by the road blowing leaves from the ditch young FedEx driver stop with package,he nicely ask if he could leave the package with me,I said but why he reply bear scare chit out of him never know where they are.

Plans for the evening not much after dinner just it until pillow time,early out the door in the morning.

Good Tractor Morning ,
Ct, 53 to start going to 60 with rain coming in around noon time according to my Accuweather forecast.

We had a good time with the grands at the farm festival yesterday. We bought ice cream for the kids but the bees were swarming around the ice cream shack something terrible. We were worried one of the kids would get stung so we walked through all the crafts booths to get away.

I guess the big news here is that I was nominated and sponsored by 4 HAM operators in the CW community to become a member of CWT CWOPS. This is an organization that promotes CW, Morse Code, as a means of communication on our frequencies. They have classes and also offer scholarships. The requirements to be nominated and sponsored is that you need to be able to send and receive a minimum of 25wpm and have contacted these sponsors a number of times at that speed. I was able to accomplish this with POTA, Parks on the Air. My nominator and sponsors are all members of POTA. I am very proud to be in this organization.

Yesterday I ran the generator for a few minutes, in anticipation of the Nor Easter that’s coming in later today. I also mowed the lawn with my Tractor, oops sorry Zero Turn Mowed kind of low, and waiting for that first good frost. We had a light frost on Thursday morning but not a hard frost yet.

Need to get ready for church, so hope all have a blessed day

Was just getting the trash and recyclables together for a dump run when I realized it's closed for Columbus Day. Glad I didn't load it all into the truck.

Did almost the same but I went to dump sign on gate CLOSED 25 mile round trip ride.

Good (Tuesday) morning. Overnight Low of 5.8C and it's presently 19.7C, partly cloudy with a steady breeze.

A busy yesterday arvo as I got off my arse to do 'recovery' work from last weeks 'wind event'. I raked up into piles a good portion of my lawn, covered in twigs/leaves/branch-ends. Then it was a matter of cutting-up the larger branches and depositing them on the "branch pile". So a good personal day with the large Fiskar secateur, sawsall & Makita battery chainsaw.

Fixed the flagpole... it's a wee bit shorter but good until a replacement can arrive.

The Council did clear the tree portion that was blocking 1/3rd of the 100kph road in front of "Wagtail Park". Upon close-up inspection of the trunk/branch of the Council road tree that came down over my fence into Paddock #5; it's a multi-trunk type of evergreen and too much for me to handle. The trunk is split and the next big blow or two is going to bring it down on the road. So I went over to the Council Depot and let them know, giving them permission to enter the property. It's not a 'priority' but needs to be done soon-ish.

Today I can continue with the clean-up.

55F and clear @ 21:00, heading down to around 48F for the overnight low.

Got another week’s worth of meds doled out first thing.

All bills either paid or scheduled to be paid.

Hopper and both tube feeders refilled, also scattered some seed for the ground feeders.

Seven more sides on seven 4 x 4 x 12 posts coated. Think only one has a 4th side that still needs done.

Got the staples installed on the southeast corner post for the brace wire and the brace wire installed and tensioned.

Drilled the post hole for the northwest corner post almost to depth. Was afraid I was going to hit the foundation for the pool building and sure enough I did. A little repositioning solved that issue. Should be able to get that finished up tomorrow and get the post set.

Woman made sauce and garlic toast and I made the spaghetti, meatballs were courtesy of Saturday’s birthday party. Very tasty, now totally stuffed.

Watch a little MNF and then hit the rack.
