I had already been driving for close to 2 years when I took DE.
It was just to lower my insurance rates.
Must have been the cheapest of the cheap companies that was hired by the school board.
The instructor used his own personal car, a Plymouth Valiant. It had the smallest slant 6 that could barely get out of it's own way.
There would be 4 students in there and each of us got the wheel for half an hour.
One of the guys was the worst of the worst drivers. When we finally got to go on the highway he almost sideswiped a police cruiser. The instructor told him to change lanes and he did. Didn't signal. Didn't check for traffic, nothing.
The cop gave us the dirtiest look but seeing it was a Driver's ED car never pulled us over thankfully.
That dumb a-s probably would have rolled us into the drainage ditch.

The instructor always cut his turn short.
Irony is that guy became a cop.
