Rick Davies co-founder of Supertramp gone at 81
Supertramp was one of my favorite bands. Maybe Davies will take The Long Way Home. The other co-founder is Roger Hodgson. Found the below. I suppose Hodson's parents had a sense of humor

AI Overview
"Hodgson" refers to a classic, patronymic English surname meaning "son of Roger" or "son of Hodge," a diminutive of Roger.
Never liked Supertramp, but I do have to admit "The Logical Song" was pretty good.
Once of my all-time favorites, as I can really relate to it!

I meant to post this earlier. I quite like Supertramp.

It seems like yesterday I was young lad listening to Supertramp’s fresh release Breakfast in America. When you posted he was 81, reality set in that it was a long time ago and the years went by. I reminisced back to a time, place and a young love. The nostalgia was for a fleeting moment but it made me shake my head in disbelief and say wow

It certainly is an odd feeling, when the passage of time actually catches up with your brain for a moment.

Pleasant memories, but an odd feeling.

I had a great deal of trouble verifying which Sonny Curtis had died. There was another one who was also a musician and passed away several years ago.

Well, huge surprise anouncement today, for all the Rush fanatics: a new tour!

Geddy and Alex will be pairing up with German female drummer Anika Nilles to do a smattering of dates across the US next summer, playing Rush material. It will never be the same without The Professor on the drum kit, but still exciting news.

I heard about this and say NO !!! These bands stay way too late to the party. I find it crazy now there are tribute bands charging lawn seat prices. Numerous bands still tour with no original members and also charge lawn seating prices.

I am glad they picked a no-name drummer. I first heard her when she toured with Jeff Beck.

I tend to agree. You might as well use AI to write new music; it's just as wrong
