Haven't been here in a long time. Had to re-register. I replaced a 5 inch piece of hydraulic hose that connects two lines under the hood because it was leaking. This is a 2007 tractor. Now the lift arms are extremely slow to lower. I'm assuming air got into in the hydraulic system when I removed the old piece of hose. Is that the problem. How to fix it? Thanks for any help.

Is this the 3 point hitch arms or front end loader? I suspect 3 point but not sure since replaced hose under the hood.

If 3 point did you move the rate drop control when replacing the hose?

It's 3 point. No, did not move the rate drop control. It seems to be stuck, and I haven't tried to force it.

I'm not sure what five inch rubber hose would be on a 5103 other than the suction adapter to the hydraulic pump. If that's not secured properly or the clamps aren't tight enough some air ingestion is possible. Not sure how that would affect three point lowering speed though.

The location is under the hood, a 4"x4" metal junction box on the right side of the firewall, four metal lines coming in/out of it. The rubber hose I assume is for vibration absorption.

I worked with the drop rate valve stem this morning and got it freed up then backed it off couple of turns and that fixed the problem. The links are working correctly now. Thanks guys for the replies. Can always count on TBN.

The 3 point return oil would typically dump directly into the transmission final drive housing so a hose up under the hood should have no effect on the 3 point lowering.
