Spare Tire Carrier

Just installed a Super ATV spare tire carrier on my Z-Force 950 HO EX. It looked like my best option for carrying a spare. I would have liked a receiver hitch carrier, but the dual exhaust comes straight out the back. Didn't know if the heat would be hard on the tire.
So I got this and I'm kinda disappointed. I had read it is compatible with the rear storage box. Well it is, the storage box still fits. You just can't open the lid more than 3 or 4 inches. So I had to remove the rack again, put my cooler bag in the box, and I guess it will stay in there now.
And even though I have a Super ATV rear window (another mistake because it has to be removed to access the air filter) the bottom mount holes do not line up with the holes in the new bracket that is part of the carrier mount. I guess they don't test fit their products.
Oh well, guess I had to choose between convenience or carrying a spare when I'm 100 KM from home.

And ya I know, there is no tire on my spare rim, LOL My dealer is 4 hours away and he has a couple take-off tires for me, just haven't got there yet.

Sounds like mismatched parts. They'd be on a bus back home if it were me. Or move the spare to the roof.

Not mismatched parts, most likely zero preproduction testing on an actual Zforce.

I guess you'll have to explain the difference to me. Zero testing and mismatched parts seems to include all deficiencies.

Download the parts diagram from SATV, that is the tire carrier.

Most powersports accessory companies reach out to the community to test fit their products on so they can make adjustments. Obviously SATV did not do that.
