Spare tire mount for my RTV .

So this fall for bird hunting season we annually ussually go 20 or 30 miles deep into bush in Northern Ontario with relatives and our side by sides.. ( no cell coverage either) I was worried about a side wall flat tire occuring on sharp rocks we traverse across often. So I located a spare Kubota RTV rim from dealer and bought a tire from Princess Auto , and I had a extra scissor jack from my Shasta camper. So by using a reinforcement steel plate

1 " x 6 " 1/4 " drilled and bolted thru side of box, and rim held by one 6 inch long bolt, and also mounted scissor jack with a few wing nut bolts ( after grand daughter helped spray paint black) .....worked out great. If I don't say so myself

Also carry Mutli-Seal product called flat-Out. Way better than the green slime. Plus it will fill a gash up to 1/2-inch wide. The military and semi truck drives use this stuff. It's liquid Kevlar.

Even if you change the first flat, the chances of having another is possible too. The formula is non-flammable and lasts 10years or more compared to green slim that ignites and only lasts 2 to 3 years.

Yes I agree and have similar product, in toolkit ( I can transfer from truck) however sidewall gashes are difficult animal that a spare tire alleviates.

That's something I really need to do is get spares for my RTV and Z-Force.

I've been lucky all these years, but some day I'm gunna end up having to sacrifice a rim and tire to get home, LOL

Well my RTV is no longer going to be a trail riding machine. I just ordered the K-Connect and snow blower for it and dealer is buying my Boss vee plow off it.

I echo @Paystar comment. Those are fabulous sideboards gonna make me some. Did you fabricate the steel or did you find the tube stock for the RTV? I find it harder to find accessories for my RTVX 1100 c than for my polarises. currently looking for new aggressive tires with rims

Have you checked out Orange Aftermarket?

And just a tip....if you are happy enough with the aluminum rims and atv tires offered from Kubota, get them through your dealer through Wholegoods. Will be WAY cheaper than you can buy anywhere else.

When I get tires for my tractor I get them through Wholegoods and you end up getting new rims for free basically.

Thanks.....Sorry did not reply right away, ( wife passed away end of Nov , so missed post) .....the rtv side boards are cedar fence boards, sanded and varathaned, the uprights are maple wood cut to size to fit tight in Rtv sq stock that is part of box, painted flat black to match.
