T shirts I had made. I had a favorite one from the 1972 movie by the same name. The first and only(?) X-rated cartoon. Robert Crumb did the artwork. My original t shirt disintegrated after 50 years (why? ) so I was able to sent stickermule via photographs having it printed on black shirts.

Sumitomo of (just an example, although specific) warrants the tires in question for 45K miles or 60 months (from DOM), whichever comes first. In this case, even the single 245/40R17 tire manufactured during the second week of January (0225, last 4 of DOT code) is >6 months old; no real issues and I decided to keep this one. The rest of the tires have date codes of 2823, 4523 and 1923 and I decided to get them replaced.

Car manufacturers such as BMW recommend discontinuing usage of tires irrespective of remaining tread life after 6 years.
s 18 and 23 for two respectively; I do not re,member the DOM for the
Separately, there are varying opinions on the WWW about such issues including sensationalized (to a bit) recommendations and responses. Of course, folks are free to make their own decisions :).
Update: The 3X replacements from AMZN were also manufactured in 2023 (e.g. weeks 19 and 23 of 2023). I do not remember the DOM for the third. However, while the UPS driver was attempting delivery, he let me check the codes and refuse delivery. So everything returned to Amazon.

Just ordered a staggered set 225/45R17 and 245/40R17 from Sams. Same tires that are on the car presently.

This is crazy...
We bought a new coffee maker for $15
and 40 oz. can of Folgers coffee for $19
In 1960 a $29.95 coffee maker = $220 today's dollars. A pound of coffee was 75 cents so $1.88/40 oz. =$20.70 today.

Basically you made out like a bandit on the maker and coffee about the same.

Bought a knock off carburator for my Honda GX630 (16hp?, two cylinder) for $28 bucks. I have no idea how they can build this thing and get it in my hands for that cheap.

Buying new carbs is a helluva lot cheaper than paying for the repair. I have an ultrasonic cleaner that helps... But new carbs are so cheap

I did pick up the HF Manual tire changer since I have to change the tubes on the tractor, deburr the rims, install a new tube and be operational again.

For the price of the tire changer, the local tire shops and chain stores now charge $60+tax, and to drop it off and come back the next day! The HF unit cost only $60. I can change on the fly and be back in the tractor seat in less than 30mins!

I can even do my own trailer tires now. After watching a few YT vids on how NOT to knock off the wheel balance weights, I'm confident now to have tires delivered to the farm, and to do the work myself saving hundreds of dollars. The setup is compact and stores easily too.

I've use the HF tire changer mostly for golf cart tires for years. Best mounted to a large or permanent surface. Get a couple of their tires spoons and use a spray bottle of tire black for lube around the rim.

In the 1980s, coffee makers were $12.97 at Walmart. We had a good B+D for years.

I bought a new lawn mower.

Today.

The only annoying thing with this mower, the front wheels clog very easily. Even as they are clogged, the mower will still go and go and go, however, the clogged wheel will get a flat spot since it isn't moving much. My dad owns a Toro just like it.
