Good (Saturday) morning. Overnight Low of 4.3C and it's presently 12.6C, mostly cloudy & fairly calm.

Don't know why they chose to put everything so close to the gravel road, as the property goes up to and over the ridge.
It took me quite a while to figure out why so many, post 1920's, rural homes/farm structures were built so close to the main road/highway.

The answer is power poles. If your building was farther away from the power 'line' that it required your own pole(s) to reach you, then you were responsible for the cost and maintenance of 'your' pole(s).

My house is set back from the road (built 1993) as the power line is buried. If I needed power poles, I would still be required to be responsible for them.

Once again, that's about it, take care all.

Morning all, 64 going to 75 and cloudy, feels downright chilly.
So total for yesterday about 1.25" , heard NYC got quite a bit and some flooding.

This weekend is my birthday, I will be as old as my mother when she died.

Be well,

The brothers, can see them getting bigger week to week.

May you have many more in good health!
Dang..... thats a good question. I went down a rabbit hole and could only come up with a 30lb and 40lb extension for 3/8 drive.

Might have to do with the amount of flex on the smaller diameter extension

Now i'm gonna have to ask the "Tool Man" snap-on on Monday when he comes by for his weekly knee breaking session.
Thanks for asking!

Yes, I went down a similar rabbit hole when @Popgadget posted the HF torque sticks. I do a lot more with a battery impact driver these days than an air tool, but I do have them, so 1/2" isn't a deal breaker. I do use a drill, using the clutch to get the right torque for fasteners, but mine doesn't have the torque to do most bolts.

All the best,

Peter

Im a diesel mechanic, so I've invested in the 1/4" impact driver, 3/8" and 1/2" impacts. Plus work bought me a 40vlt 3/4" drive impact.

Depending on what I'm working on, I could have all of them out on the bench

I use the living snot out of that 1/4" nut driver removing sheet metal and belt guards.

That quick attach makes bit changes super fast as well.
