I still think mutual admiration makes for the best pairing…

This week had another couple in their 90’s walk in hand in hand… husband having eye surgery and wife driving…

She said they just had their 75th anniversary… she knew right away he was the one and he said the same… the only time they were apart was when he was in the Service and they wrote every day…

Hope he still likes her after the surgery.

My grandmother had cataract surgery.

Before surgery all she could see were shapes.

When I walked into her place to visit after surgery, the first words out of her mouth were "Boy.... you need a haircut!!!!!"

I have been having "the talk(s)" with my grandson for several years now. He is 18, he's been interested in the ladies for as long as the talks have been going on... He's a tolerant kinda guy, so I hope he gets a girl as nice as he is. But that deciscion is not mine to make, it's in God's hands.

I have also been praying for my grandchildren's spouses for many years. I pray God will protect the spouse and allow them to grow up with Godly values and not get hurt by the bad in the world. Or something like that, it changes a lot. I believe in prayer and I believe in a God who cares for all of his children's needs. Just like the sparrow, he feeds and protects, and we are greater than those in his eyes.

@dj1701 My father once told me you're never going to find a perfect women, so at least find one you don't mind looking at. Love the guy and miss him terribly, but he was awful at most advice. LOL

25yrs and 4 kids later, I still manage to stay married. It ain't easy. It takes work.

I don't live too far from you in West Falls NY. If it gets too bad we'll have some garage beers or whatnot.

As I remember it.

There was absolutely no limit to my wife's energy, as long as I was doing the work
Similar experience here. My wife says we when she should say, me. As in "We just finished
painting the house"; meaning I (me). I'm used to it now. The only thing that bugs
me now days, is to tell a joke/story and she blurts out the punch line. I love her and
she takes good care of me so.......you have to let some things go. No big deal.
