I swear the best fit I found on clones was a SAE oring one.

I tried Metric and SAE ones.

I have that o ring kit somewhere.

The blue air filter isn't that deep. I'm wondering how the OEM filter on the OEM mount on the G2511will work out for CleverKnollFarms?

My G2511 was delivered today. All parts were present, no flashing that needed trimming that I could see. Chain a little trouble to slip in gap between cover and clutch, with a little fiddling got it to drop in. Oiler way to high, on max output. turned down to middle. Put tach on it, idle was about 2600 rpm, too low for me, bumped it up to 3000. wide open throttle shows 10800. Book shows 12800 max rpm. Leaving till I get a few tanks threw it before I bump it up a little. Usually set my high speed jet to 1000rpm under max. and saws seem happy there. For you guys with lots of saw knowledge, does 11800 sound good? Don't want it running too lean, low speed seems fine with instant throttle response.

I saw where someone took a Dremel to the muffler cover to make it easier to install the chain. I plan to wait a bit to see if I learn how to be more deft at installing it.
I am amused at hearing about all the new buyers.

I'm glad I bought from Hockfire saws. I like helping a small business, and I like that he checks things over before shipping it off.

Probably would have went that route also but not a Facebook user and didn't really catch on to how to contact him. Had already placed order with amazon before I figured that if you clicked links it would take you to his site. Will say saw was packed well and only question is max rpm to dial in on tach. Kind of skittish to set to max rpm. Book calls for 25: 1 fuel/oil mix. Running Red Armour 50:1 as all my 2 strokes get same mix.

I would have gone with him, but I don't want to wait 5 weeks for the $99 saw.

I can save 5 weeks with an hour of careful setup

I wasn't judging. I just happened to hit it when he had them stock.

I also wanted to say, I didn't buy this instead of an Echo. I like my local dealer, and he does right by me on all my small engine needs. This was more of a lark.

I still have my larger saw, but no longer cut firewood. Now my use is for downed trees, making and cleaning up trails (cutting stumps off at ground level / in the dirt)

My Echo will be the show pony.
The Joncutter will be the workhorse.

One could look at how much fiddling I've already done and decide Hockfire is a better value to sort things out.

I don't mind putting a $99 dollar saw on the tractor just in case, but not so sure about keeping a $500 saw on it.
