Ford Recalling Super Duty Pickups, Issues 'Do Not Drive' Warning for Brakes That Can Suddenly Fail

Everyone knows Dodge, but not everyone knows Stellantis.
Quality has gone down hill in many brands, even Toyota. But some brands lead the pack.
I watch a lot of auto mechanic videos and Korean cars and Stellantis lead the pack of unreliable vehicles.
The jeeps of today pale in quality to the jeeps of yesteryear.

Thats just fake news
My 2020 Jeep Rubicon is more dependable than the 80's & 90's Jeeps I owned.
We haven't had a single issue and were over 60,000 miles now.
My Ram has been excellent.

If I had to buy a new truck it would probably be either the F150 with the 5.0L engine or the Silverado 1500 and have the Active Fuel Management (AFM) or Dynamic Fuel Management (DFM) disabled.
So with the truck you think is best, the first thing you do is start tinkering around with it to change it?
Kinda strange.

I know a surprising number of later model jeep owners who are pleased with the quality and reliability... that sure didn't use to be the case with the older ones.

If Jeep can turn the reliability around so dramatically, it, why can't the others?

I'd say that video says a lot more about how YouTube is used to influence people than it does about the real world and the cars in it.
If I went through this thread and cherry picked answers I wonder which brand would come up the most.

It likely would be in inverse proportion to whichever manufacturer was paying me.

Having said that, I saw Jeep mentioned twice, Volkswagen, BMW, Honda each mentioned once.
Hardly a statistically significant "study".

Yes, that's my point exactly. The YouTube media is influential, yet we have no way to know by whom or why.

It's also somewhat arbitrary. I owned 2 Dakotas (91&93) which nickeled and dimed me to death. OK, add a few zeros to those coins. I hated those trucks. It got so that if I had to leave town I'd call the garage first to make sure they had time to come get me if I broke down. From there I went to a beat up '91 Toyota which I routinely ran back and forth 500 miles to New York.

When I traded my '93 for the Toyota, the garage stopped working Saturday mornings. Over a 2 year period it was averaging 8 hours/week there. At the time I could have bought a brand new 4x4 extended cab Ranger for what I spent on that truck in 2 years.

Another TBN member has had good luck with Dakotas but wouldn't give a Toyota storage space, because of past experiences. It's funny how that works.

I watch a lot of mechanics videos and Korean crap and Stellantis are commonly mentioned about brands not to buy for autos.

The internet is full of opinionated “expert” people on cars & trucks. Some are informative, but many are biased, and some are just silly clowns.

IMO, anyone who throws a “do not buy this brand” blanket over every vehicle made by Stellantis fits in the 3rd category. Clowns.

You ever own a Ram/Cummins in the last 10-15 years?
