You Know You Are Old When

I went out this morning and walked the boundaries of a 100 acre parcel under consideration to buy (hot market it seems)

It was a hot one, near 90 f, but I relish tromping the woodlands. Pretty steep terrain, over 40 degrees in a few spots. picking my way with the aid of brush to cling to. a couple of bogs that sucked on my boots.

I came home HOT, dripping sweat, and leg weary.

I must be getting old.

Yep, those old fabrics shrink after so many washes.
That's my story and I'm sticking with it.
I got down to my high school weight of 170 lbs. I went from 6'1" to 5'11+"and the waist from 32" to 34", maybe 33". So while the weight went back, other dimensions seem to have permanently changed.

I have strict instructions to be put in comfortable jeans, footie socks, and a nice warm sweatshirt for open casket funeral.... then cremated.

I want them all to say "He looks so good." even though I'll be dead, covered in makeup, and under a pink light. ;)
I just hope the indie film spells my name correctly. :)

I was in the 170-180 range in my 20s. These days...uh, never mind. :(

I went to the pharmacy to pick up a prescription yesterday... or should I say yet another prescription.

She remembered my name.
If the pharmacist sees me coming to the back she just gets my next due prescription. They don't have to check my name or my ID. They just confirm I'm getting the right prescription.
We know aboot each others vacations, families and even aches and pains.

Same. I've never left my high school weight of 165 - 175 lb., but I do seem to have lost about an inch in height.

The hazard of never changing size is that it's pretty easy to keep the same clothes for 35 years. That's not always a good thing, or so my wife and kids sometimes have to remind me. :D

At 18 yrs old 5' 8 1/2" 155 lbs, 60 yrs later 5' 6" 207 lbs. Two things getting bigger, my waist and my feet.

A few I liked the design, from the 1970s. I picked a sunny day, put them on a cardtable outside, t shirt flattened so image was straight. Took an accurate straight focused picture, sent copy to stickermule.com
They printed it on a new XXL t-shirt.
Great idea. I may look in to it. Thanks!

Unfortunately, besides the hundreds in storage, I have the dozens on the laundry table.

I have mine stored in vacuum bags. Many, hard to believe just how many t-shirts you can fit in one vacuum bag! It's heavier than one would think.

This is my current favorite...
