My friend has a DK45S and his lifting arms barely go up. I looked at his speed control and it was a little loose, the stem that is. So I took the cover off and looked in there and everything looks good, linkage all hooked up, and when I turn the control knob I feel a little resistance from slow to fast, which I think is fine. I jiggled the control while he was raising the arms and we didn't notice it move but it did come up about 6". Any thoughts?

According to him it gets serviced, but I did look at the installed filter and it didn't look old or anything. I forgot to say his bucket functions normally, it's just the lifting arms.

Does that tractor have some form of power beyond plug or feature in FEL valve? If this plug is leaking or has a bad O-ring the oil will go to tank at low pressure so loader will work but 3 point won’t.

If it has remotes, specially remotes with detent, make sure those levers are in the centered position.

Yeah, this -- glad filters are good, but couldn't a low fluid level do this? The loader cylinders have fluid flowing in and out for movement in any direction, but the 3PT just has fluid in to go up (and out to go down). Raising it would lower the fluid level in the reservoir.

Just an idea, no experience with it.

yeah, the fluid level changes per position of bucket. from what i understand, the correct way to gauge the hyd level is to have the fel cyl retracted to where bucket is level on ground & rear arms level. keep forum informed, good luck
