  • AUDI Q7 SOME PROBLEMS
  • Some Q7s, especially after a cold start, experience misfires. This can be due to a fault with the PCM software or the knock sensor.
    • The 3.0L engine in the 2017-2019 models is known for burning excess oil, which can lead to carbon buildup and potentially burned exhaust valves.

    • A faulty knock sensor can cause engine misfires and knocking sounds.

    • Some Q7s with the 3.0 TDI engine have experienced rattling noises and may require timing chain tensioner replacement.
The air suspension, while providing a smooth ride, can be prone to failures, including sagging suspension, air compressor problems, and air spring failures.
excessive noise, and water ingress can affect the electric steering rack.
    • A faulty residual pressure holding valve can lead to uneven ride height.
The infotainment system can experience issues such as screens not turning on, random shutdowns, and connectivity problems.

    • Various sensors can trigger the check engine light.
Some Q7s have been recalled for faulty crash sensors in the front doors.
A defect in the steering system of certain models may cause loss of steering control.
Excessive brake wear can lead to frequent brake pad and rotor replacements.

    • : Coolant leaks, often from the expansion tank, are a common issue.
Clogged sunroof drainage tubes can cause water leaks into the cabin.
    • Some Q7s with the Tiptronic transmission have experienced rough shifting, especially between 1st and 2nd gears.
    • The 3.0L engine in the 2017-2019 models is known for burning excess oil, which can lead to carbon buildup and potentially burned exhaust valves.

    • Audi Q7s tend to have higher maintenance and repair costs than the industry average for luxury SUVs.
    • A Q7 may require a major repair during its first 10 years f service.

    • Regularly check for and address coolant leaks.
    • Be aware of potential issues with the 3.0L engine, especially in the 2017-2019 models, and monitor oil consumption.

Mines a 2022. So most of the above is not an issue,
I'm sure I will find some though, it is an Audi.

Picked up a Harbor Freight McGraw 2hp 8 gal, compressor for $166. Decided to go with the 150 psi, oilless one, over the 135 psi oiled. I had the 2hp 8gal Black one, Pittsburgh or maybe Chicago Electric, but its acting up.

Just got one of these Bushwhacker ATV bags for the 2520. This attaches to the seat hinge rod and hangs right under the front of the seat. I needed a place to put keys, garage door opener, camera, etc. They make a couple of different models/styles of these for bikes and ATV's.

A new kitchen faucet with pull out sprayer, and a water filler spout to go where the old pull out sprayer was located. The filler spout will be connected directly to the well water, before the soft water. Right now, the only way to get non-softened water is to go down to a spigot in the basement. Eventually I'll tap that same line for the ice maker.

Went to Costco earlier today.
Intention was probably aboot $4-50.
Ended up over $400.
That place sucks money out of my pockets like a large commercial vacuum.
Other than groceries and some bits and bobs their is nothing to get excited aboot.

Pillows. Not been sleeping well lately on my costco "down alternative" pillows. Figured it's worth investing some money in a good night's sleep.

Have $400 in pillows coming the next couple of days to see what the fuss is about with the expensive ones. It's hard because I'm a side + stomach sleeper, so basically need the firmest but softest pillow somehow :/
