Well, I did complete the Metamorphosis-to-Lawn Mower earlier this week, and did my first lawn mowing... but now I have a job in front of me that will take a while:

The seven large trees I wanted GONE are now down, and I have quite a large pile -- three, actually-- of logs to process for firewood with the help of the BH and its thumb. Going to be a busy summer!

I started making a shallow swale on the high side of our shared road.
About 100' of the 700" done.
Now of course it's raining, but now heavy enough to see the swale working.
Pictures when the rain stops.

Making progress on the two smaller piles... amazing how strong that BH/thumb combo is. I wouldn't be able to do this otherwise. Some of the piles I'll have to wait on -- still too muddy! It's been a wet spring here, with more rain on the way for the next 2-3 days. My turf tires just aren't up to that task -- sliding all over the place.

The pin came out and I ran over it 😭 Maybe 3 hours on this new MMM that took 2 months arrive. First time mowing this property and was nudging in between several bushes, I think a branch pulled the key ring style clip off, they are all mounted outward. Mower spit it out like a twig. I kept mowing and worked fine, will look at underside today and making some changes with these pins.

Rookie mistake. Looks like you guys would have warned me about this 🤣😅😁

yeah, those pins should be inserted the other way with the clips on the inside. Seems like all the dealers put them in backwards or something. They are more of a PITA to insert with the clips inside. I did something similar, but I did not mow it. I have not had any issues since I started putting them in the right way.

Did you chip or bend the blades?

by the time I finish this will be 700' long swale. More than 75% done as of last night.
Water has been coming over the driveway and breaking it up.
