41°. Only .27” of rain. It went SE of us. Early to bed last night. Wife woke me when she came to bed, subtle like a hurricane.
Really enjoyed sitting outside yesterday and watching the fire burn. Did get 5500 steps in from gathering burn material. Glad the shed wood is now gone.
Breakfast with the crew this morning, than maybe more deck work this afternoon. Only got 5 to put on, then need buy 15 more

Been retired 7 years and every time I consider rejoining the rat race in some form or another I sit down and have a beer or coffee if it’s early and think for a moment and say “there, got that out of my system”

Mostly I am so very sorry for the passing of your brother prayers sent.

Seems you and I share bad news. Holly really went off the rails Wednesday night. Went around waking up all patients on the floor refused medicine had to get shot. Had hearing on Thursday about her staying longer another 180 days and they are recommending nursing home. I really wanted this not to be so. Will have talk with case worker on Monday very sad

I am working on my 21st year of retirement. First 4 years I did contract work for company I retired from. Have not had the desire to return since. Plenty of things to do around my place. Makes it hard to find time for conserve energy.

Prayers for all our Country

I went through the same type of events with my mother’s care. Difficult times because she lived 50 miles away. One time I was in south TX for the winter. Luckily I found a nursing home close to my home. After a few weeks they were able to tell when she was having an out of control event and treat her with meds. Before things got out of control. I, family and friends were able to take her out during the good times.

Good morning, the low is 24 and going up t 52°F. Wind N 2 mph. Sunny!

My parts are in at Powassan. So I am going up there today and when I get back I will pull the oil pump and install the extension on the suction pipe. I'll swap out the whistle for the gauge at the same time.
The driver said that my whistle didn't work, but the whistle on the last two places he filled up didn't work either. He thinks his seal is toast. I am inclined to agree with him. That may be part of the reason why he "over filled' me. To my way of thinking as long as no product landed on the ground I was not overfilled. The real reason is that I was filling the house tank at the same time as he was filling the 500. The tank will hold 2270L jammed right to the top. He pumped 2179L into it according to the delivery slip. There was 400+ L left in the tank when he started pumping. I stuffed 600+ into the furnace oil tank. By law you aren't supposed to hold anymore than 2000L in the 500. I am under that by about 21 L or 5 gallons.

I am sorry for your loss, mostly.

Good morning TBN!!
Only 34 this morning going to low 60s under sunny sky's.
Not too much again yesterday. I did get the tank half rolled over so I can continue cleaning the "roof" which is now the "floor" That took a bit because it is tight and muddy right there for now but got her done.
Other than that it was putter, watch TV, and entertain the dog in the garage.
Today is probably more of the same. If the air dry's out I may attack the PW again.

And now it's time for a second cup.

Getting close to 8AM.
Our crappy spring rolls on.
Trying to be foggy but mostly just really damp uncomfortable around 36F.
Limited wind.
Had planned to do some burning today but the air is too heavy.
Putter around the house I guess.
Fire going in the fireplace but a bit reluctantly because of the heavy air today.
Maybe go for coffee and gossip later.
Our TSC turned Peavey Mart is closing permanently Sunday.
Got a nice work coat yesterday that was originally $200 for $50. Maybe go back today but pickings are getting real thin.
