Vt, 32 to start going to 40 and lightly snowing now. So far it looks to be about 2” on our table on the deck.

About 20-25 mins.from me.
You and Mrs. should plan on return trip once bridge construction finish with glass walk under bridge

Thomas, wish you were home we would have stopped for a quick visit. It was a nice ride but it does take awhile to get there. I think it was about 60 or 65 miles to Quechee. We stopped into that group of stores on your side of the gorge. On the way back we stopped in Woodstock for 45 minutes, the girls went into the book store. After Woodstock we stopped for a beer at Long Trail Brewery.

It’s supposed to stop snowing later today and then I’m hoping to go on a walk. Can’t really spend any time in the shop with company here so that’s out.

David sorry to hear of your guard coming off, never a good outcome on that.

Good Morning!!!! 46F @ 7:15AM. Foggy early, becoming sunny this afternoon. High 64F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph.

Wish you had better news on Holly, Buppies. And you about your brother, Bruce. I know the helpless feelings; just have to roll with the punches.

Had short notice on a showing up north yesterday, and news of another one today. Zillow views are down to a third of what they were last week. Had a telecon with realtor and his person managing Facebook ads and learned that all she'd done was put one up on their office's FB page. No wonder I couldn't find it in Marketplace. Supposedly that's fixed now, as well as "boosting" the original ad so it shows in the Sacramento and San Francisco Bay Area. All it takes is one, but if the ads aren't even in the target market...

Former employer is still making contributions to a Health Reimbursement Account, but at the start of the new year juggled benefits managers, so reimbursements are even more convoluted. Another hour I'll never see again trying to figure it out.

Laptop is still stuck in Memphis. Made a backup of the one it'll replace, and tried to backup another one, but the backup drive is bad. Still under warranty, so will have to dig details out on that today.

Waded through county planning department requirements and think I'd be permitted to build an 800 square foot shop in the back yard. That's enough to let me start using the garage for a garage. Gotta sell the old house first, though.

Packed a few more things for the trip next week, should probably get finshed with that today. Not sure what else will pop up, but there's always something.

Morning all, 39 going up to 43 and rain.
Power went off at 5am and back on 10:30, tree took out wires, including cable.
Lights came on just as I was getting the genny ready to fire up.

Mostly - our condolences and prayers for the family.

Buppies - Sorry to hear about Holly, see if they have an assisted care vs. nursing home. Assisted care is usually more like an apartment.

SUV shopping today and off to pick up a planter the wife wants for mothers day.

Son is working in town, but thinking he won't get many tips working the ice cream counter on a rainy cold day.

Brother talked to dads attorney last night and she told us she will give his GF a name of a person to help her with finance/legal. She also told us to stop calling her.
Even though she had been awful to us, we feel like we want to help, but lawyer says bad idea, she needs to get her estranged kids involved. She hasn't signed her house insurance that my brother got restarted for her, or the car insurance signed off even though I handed her the renewal papers and bill when I was there.
Lawyer knows the situation with hi GF and even she does not want to be involved anymore ......
So guess that part of our life is past and only a few bills left and done. We tried.....

Good Afternoon All,
So I finally got around to checking my thermopile millivolt readings. This is a Robert Shaw gas valve with accompanying thermopile and pilot assembly. On line it sounds like I should be getting a minimum reading of 325 millivolts. I’m reading 387 at the gas valve connections. I kind of wish I had measured the voltage before I cleaned the thermopile. Too late now.

I’m planning on ordering a new assembly from Mountain View Hearth out of Idaho for $109. Hopefully if this one finally dies I will have a backup.

Reading about all the stomach aids taken here, I feel better at my occasional Tums before bed some nights. Of course some nights that I don’t often meaning getting up during the night to take.
