Good morning!!!!

A nice nippy 21F this morning, about an inch of snow on the ground. The wind was down right chilly yesterday.
Standing in the kitchen window this morning after the sun came up got the sense of what the cat does. The sun was guite nice and felt quite warm.
The sun is knocking the danged snow down fast even though it's still just 24F outside.
The air handler motor went out last week for the back half of the house it was down in the 50's this morning, just got an email that the new motor should be delivered today
Sitting here now waiting for a call back from the local sawmill about some 1x6 T&G.
Got some expected news from oncology at yesterdays visit, prostate cancer trying to rear it's head again, so back on hormone therapy to slow it down and hopefully keep it contained.

All have a good day, stay save and get well
I hope the therapy works great for you, any chance they can operate to remove just the bad stuff?

No, too risky after all the radiation treatments previously. It's likely cooked to the adjoining tissue and organs so surgery is not recommended. There are several treatments that should hold it in check or severely slow it's spread.

Walmart use to pride itself for selling American made products. Maybe it will again.

With the price of trex, measure 5-6 times before cutting.

23° was the low, sunny and 42° now.

Good Morning!!!! 53F @ 7:45AM. Abundant sunshine. High 76F. Winds WNW at 10 to 20 mph.
A $32 cheap multiswitch stalk from Amazon. Will say a prayer and hope it fixes it.
A squirt of DeOxIt would be even cheaper...
Blue Cross just advised me new premium 328 a month, up from 276 and it wasn't long ago it was 178.
wow
Read yesterday that State Farm is asking the California Insurance Commissioner if they can raise premiums 20% due to the fires in SoCal. They doubled my premiums last year, so why do they need permission now? Not that it matters, because I've never seen the Commissioner offer any resistance in the past.
my adult Daisy Red Rider showed up yesterday. Scope and mounting rail separate. Plus some sight in targets.
for sure not letting my crazy neighbor next door see it. Plus a big bottle of bbs, copper coated steel.
"you'll shoot your eye out" 🤣 Just kidding, but do wear some safety glasses.
Another layoff at work, not sure how many, but my boss was one of them. Now reporting back into my old boss, so not bad for me. Got a good scare when told to attend a 4pm meeting yesterday at last minute.
My first real job out of college was working for a large nuclear power reactor engineering firm. Three Mile Island failed a few months after I started, and people started leaving like rats leaving a sinking ship. And most of the work went overseas, and I hated the idea of spending most of my career in Japan. Was easy to say yes when offered a job at a government owned lab six months later. But I know how you feel about waiting for the axe to fall, and hope it continues to miss you, Ken.

Filled out real estate disclosure forms yesterday. Long questions with not much space for answers, so mostly I just wrote "see attachment", and will append long list I've been adding to over the past few weeks.

Then started cleaning up a cast iron porcelain sink gifted to me by a friend. Lots of paint on it, some rust, some discoloration I couldn't get off, and some pits. No cracks or missing porcelain, though. Used a small buffer and some polish supposedly for porcelain, but the light wasn't good enough to tell if it did the job or not. Supposed to be sunny today, so maybe I can make up my mind to use it or add it to the growing garage sale pile. Been shopping for a while for a 70/30 stainless steel sink without much luck, so I hope the freebie passes muster.

Just got a text that the Apple laptop I ordered just shipped. Now I'm wondering if it will be impacted by the new tariffs on China. No way I'm going to pay double for it.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

65°f and .59 inches of much needed rain.

Biggest accomplishments yesterday were trash and PO runs.

The grass is enjoying the rain. That means it will soon need attention. I did notice the guinea grass responding very well.

Otherwise I foresee another day of piddling about.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Good Afternoon,
My limitations are more that I am the caregiver for wife and I can not be away for longer periods of time
Frits totally understand 👍

Scotty - now you get to enjoy the deck
Yes thanks Ken, hopefully 😉

My view this afternoon, putting some wood up for next year.

nice visit with landlady as we walked through my gardens.
I had mowed just before she got there and didn't seem like I accomplished much.
Then when putting mower away I went to lift deck
and of course it was already all the way up.
and had never gone down...
I had forgotten to hit the hydraulic deck lever....sigh, so it stayed all the way up while mowing.
oh well, got the tall stuff anyway.

we have two days of rain coming in after tomorrow
need to finish those last two outdoor chairs in garage.
did sit outside in the two chairs today in the sunshine and it was marvelous, warm sunny spot
despite being only 50 out. Poor landlady just went through chemo, shingles and pneumonia.
she's in her mid 80's and a bit frail, made sure she held on to my arm as we went to inspect the new roses.

time to put my feet up

Lou, prayers to you hoping therapy will work 🙏

Dennis, yes yes and Yes 😉
I made one wrong cut and my wife heard me hollering out on the deck, but then I realized that I was mating 2 12 footers together and I had enough stock to fix my mistake 😂

Time to finish up and stack the wood that I split today , but right now I’m sitting down and enjoying the view of a maintenance free deck 😉🙏
