Plans for today...once the temp least reaches 30's waddle down corner front field with chainsaw cut and clean 3 tress fell over from the ice storm,afterwards just putter.

Good Morning,
Vt, 19 to start going to 38. Sun is out with bright blue skies, the wind blew all night actually howled but seems to have abated this morning.

Good thing I didn't cut yet, I see end gaps only need to be 1/8", and not 1/4" like the spacers gap between boards. I'll need to remark the first piece.

Dennis, yes I tried for a 1/8” gap at ends where the boards meet the edge pieces. I ended up asking that question to one of my carpenter friends. So we will see how that works out this summer with direct sun and heat.

Scotty - we didn’t see but a couple of snow squalls come through yesterday mostly rain, you and Thomas are in the western hinterlands, we’re closer to coast

NHBX, we have some friends coming to visit on Thursday from the Keene,NH area. Actually their son lives there and they are visiting him and his family.

Need to put some firewood up for next year. I don’t put up a real lot because we are only here on a temporary basis. But I’ve gone through most of what I put up for this year. If I was here full time I’m guessing I would need at least 6 cord.

Got a coating of snow last night but I’m sure the sun will make short work of that later today.

Good morning! 56˚F heading to the mid 80s, clear skies, S wind.

The Ford dealership was on the body repair list from the insurance company, so I took it there and they are ordering a new bumper and can tell more after the bumper is off. The Insurance co. will investigate if the other driver had insurance and if they find out he is uninsured my deductible goes from $500 to $250.

Mowed the yard and planted flowers yesterday as the afternoon temps were in the 80s.

The oak leaves have stopped falling and the new leaves have popped out but also the pollen tassels which are keeping the pool robots busy. A layer of yellow oak pollen is everywhere, and anywhere on the ground near the oak trees the tassels are thick. The N winds the last few days have knocked most of the tassels down and hopefully the robots can take a break next week.

Kyle the BIL lived in Fort Bend County, funeral is still pending.

Decided not to PW yesterday as I figured adding mist to the chilly air and the constant wind would be colder then I like. Maybe today.
Not to much else. Puttered and walked.
Not sure about today yet.

Frits , did you get a good price on your load of firewood ? I’m wondering how many more years I can still put up my own

not cheap to buy firewood, found a good supplier. I think it was 200 a cord
I can cut a split and my injuries are healing so back in business. My limitations are more that I am the caregiver for wife and I can not be away for longer periods of time. Have to pace myself because when I get started on some project I tend to forget about time

Starting out at 28F and we should hit 40F.
Warmer today but the difference maker will be just a gentle breeze.
Yesterday we had a strong wind all day that just penetrated with the dampness.
Mostly sunny too, will make it a happier looking day.
Always something to do however I'm not sure where to start after brekky.
Probably burn some garbage.
Remember those you hold a grudge against probably have one against you to.
Just let it go.

Morning all, a very unspringlike 31 going up to 52 and sunny.
Luckily pulled a lot of plants inside so they survive.

Another layoff at work, not sure how many, but my boss was one of them. Now reporting back into my old boss, so not bad for me. Got a good scare when told to attend a 4pm meeting yesterday at last minute.

BEF - see measuring twice works, Deck will look nice, can't wait to see progress updates.

Wagtail - with so many signs can you see the trees?

Memorial for dad planned for next month at my brothers.

Good Evening,
Vt, rough day up on the mountain. It never went over 32, with on and off snow showers all day. I finished laying the deck with numb fingers and toes , but I got it done. What should have taken about an hour took about 3, because I was running inside every 10 minutes. The wind was blowing at warp 10 also.

I’m guessing Lou had similar weather because it was coming out of the west. Along with NHBX and Thomas. It could have been much worse, I just read that Bill had 12-14” of the white stuff

Hoping to put up some firewood for next year tomorrow

A nice nippy 21F this morning, about an inch of snow on the ground. The wind was down right chilly yesterday.
Standing in the kitchen window this morning after the sun came up got the sense of what the cat does. The sun was guite nice and felt quite warm.
The sun is knocking the danged snow down fast even though it's still just 24F outside.
The air handler motor went out last week for the back half of the house it was down in the 50's this morning, just got an email that the new motor should be delivered today
Sitting here now waiting for a call back from the local sawmill about some 1x6 T&G.
Got some expected news from oncology at yesterdays visit, prostate cancer trying to rear it's head again, so back on hormone therapy to slow it down and hopefully keep it contained.
