Good morning!!!!

my last manual grease gun was an Alemite, before I got a cordless machine for the farm.
Alemite and LocknLube 20 bucks more than what I chose, which is a house present that will get very little use.
otherwise yes to Alemite, but my lock n lube would never click on right for me and was too bulky for some areas.
I know others have had much better results.
am happy to blame it on operator error.
get in line... :giggle:

good trip down to friends, he was doing well and wife very appreciative for me babysitting him.

currently pondering where to plant my new rose bushes. I wonder if one would live out by the street.
last plants I put out there have not done well. Area floods a lot too from road water.
since they really are full sun plants, likely they will go against rear wall of house, which has full afternoon sun.
Maybe deer less likely to eat them there

Hoping Dona and Holly are having good days today so that their exceptionally nice husbands will worry less.
i think Frits and his wife need a quiet week on an island beach, both feeling wonderful and without a care in the world.
need to find a good genie for that...

3 hours straight of talking with my friend has worn me out.
choice of nap or coffee.
hmmmm

Good (Wednesday) morning. Overnight Low of 10.3C and it's presently 13.0C, high overcast & calm.

Yesterday's electrical work went well. The electrician himself was a wee bit late arriving but, once here, got "stuck into" both jobs. Very professional and was all done by 1400.

I did nip over to one of the town's bakeries to grab some lunch... whilst there I ran into an arborist! Short story = I got his card and, after finishing his day's work, he came over to 'Wagtail Park' (1630) to assess the couple of jobs/trees required. Perhaps he can do it around the 21st of April. A very fortuitous meeting.

Today is 'into town' day for groceries + a PO stop. But first there's the monthly Veteran Coffee gathering @ 1000. This arvo I'll drive up to Ansons Bay to visit a friend.

That's about it, take care all.

saw the brand Macnaught. Apparently well known in Australia for hose reels and pumps.
Sorry. I've not heard of them... but I've had no occasion to use their product(s) so I wouldn't know.

, then it was back to my old bug-a-boo electrical stuff. They really went crazy with three and even four way light switches in this place, and I screwed up badly when I replaced them with so called "smart" switches. Thought I had it licked a time or two now, but I'm still working on it.

I have often had to sort out the mess that can be 3 and 4 way switches once someone has been tinkering with them and they don’t work when they are done. My method is to remove them all, and then ring out the wiring so I know for sure which wire goes where. It gets more interesting when I find creative things like using the ground wire for a traveler because two conductor wire was run between the switches. But I have always gotten them sorted out.

Bought some more wood for deck, but didn’t start any work on it till after supper. HD did not have the 8 ft trex I wanted, online says they have 92 pieces in stock in the aisle I looked in.
Did get 1 more railing post installed and prepped for another. Railing So much stronger than before.

Mission bbq for lunch. First time getting pulled chicken.

Years ago I had an addition added to the house and I did wiring. It's a 20x30 room and downstairs wanted two ceiling fans with lights. So at the walk out door are switches, then across to old part of house switches.
I installed two ceiling boxes and wired...never thought about 4 wires (traveler), just three and coming home the contractor had installed the ceiling. So...I thought what can I do?
Next day I show contractor showing "look! It works fine but I just needed one wire". He says "don't ever tell me what you did!".
It's worked fine all these years...but of course it's not right.
The door switch I picked up a hot and neutral. Same with other switch. Switch common goes to fans. So one switch up, other down fans/lights work. Both switches down you simply have fans neutral both sides. The problem is if both switches are up, fans don't run because it's hot both sides.
Certainly not up to code & we leave switches down unless in use.

Finished the strip in front of both garage doors but not with the paint I bought at Home Depot 2 weeks ago. It had turned pink. I took it back to the store and the poor lady tried to make it the right color but after the third try it just looked purple and it was clearly written on the can NO REFUND on colored paint. So I left it there and went to the real paint store Sherman Williams and they fixed me up with the right color. Sunny day, dried fast. Rebar not visible after patch and paint.
Pic is the door slightly open while drying.
