Drinking first cup of coffee. 25° with clear skies this morning. Heading to 43° with some clouds and sun. Got mailbox adapter sealed with Olympic stain and sealant. Will see how well it dried overnight. Need clean up some of the leaves that have blown in to garden pond from yesterday winds. Yard limb cleanup continues.
Having a bad feather day.

good morning all, looks like a nice sunny day up to 60 today.
Morning will be spent helping a friend who is just back from triple hernia operation (?) and his wife is sick, so I'm going
to just be there for the morning. Then I hope to go to Costco on the way home.

late yesterday afternoon went for short walk, didn't want to come in, so laid the pavers down in position.
next step is four or five bags of gravel between pavers and shed to make that area look nice and avoid
splashing. Bottom of shed covered in dirt splashed up by rain and lack of gutters.
that reminds me to pick up some bagged gravel today

Good morning, the low is 25 and going to a high of 32°F. Wind NW 8 mph. Periods of light snow.

We got about an inch overnight. Not enough to even be bothered firing up the tractor.

I guess today will be an energy conservation day.

Nice looking shed, Drew.

Have a safe day all

Good morning TBN!!
38 this morning. Heading to a breezy, sunny, mid 70s today.
Not too much yesterday Mostly puttering. Cleared out my mobile worksite (pickup) and got rid of trash and un-needed tools and such. Ready to go when I am. I still have a couple of pieces to cut out and then the cleaning begins. I want to get to where it can be dropped by the end of the week.
Took the dog on a couple of 4 wheeler runs. Couldn't work up the muster to walk him. Still got 6k steps though.
Today is more of the same although may cut a couple more pieces of plate. Guess I will have to see what I can get in to.

Time for a second cup.
Everyone have a great and safe day!!

found a new brand of tools, one Wagtail I'm sure has heard of since it's Australian and has
now made it to Amazon. I was looking for a manual grease gun to take with me up to the NY cabin
with the Gravely, to show the new owner how to grease it. My grease gun at home is air powered, too big to haul.

I looked at a number of brands, decided on Lincoln, made in India and wanted a one hander, not two.
having a free hand to guide that rubber hose always worked well for me.
but while researching saw the brand Macnaught. Apparently well known in Australia for hose reels and pumps.
Other than lamb we don't see a lot of Australian products. Unfortunately it was half again more expensive than the Lincoln.
I do not doubt Australian workers are better paid than Indians.

47 going to 62. A nice soft rain yesterday.

Prayers for your BIL, Mostly...and for Holly.

Scotty, I see you visited Patchogue. That's where my youngest son lives.

Hope Mrs. Sophie had a great birthday!...and Dad of BEF. Happy BD today to Mom of Fuddy.

Kyle, happy BD to your son, and glad he aced his Hunter Safety.

Nice job on that tank, Happy.

Thomas, that chowder is making me hungry.

Got a couple of loads of firewood cut and split before the rain got here, which didn't amount to much. A good hike and swim and 3 coffees roasted.

RNG, Is it still available, and will you hold it for me until next week? 😁

should we be thanking the countries who have been our best allies with our business?
as an alternative to buying more locally?
Australia is one of the US's best non Nato allies.

flip side is we sure won't be buying any tractors from North Korea any time soon.
can you imagine how many bugs and trackers would be built in...

thankfully South Korea makes fine tractors, lots of us own them.
I wonder why Malaysia and The Philippines haven't been more into tractor building.
maybe too many islands and the geography. Goods made in Singapore are often very high quality for example.
but I guess the market is already saturated with less expensive Asian rivals from India and China, while Japan
provides the higher end products.

This right to repair issue has hurt John Deere. I hope they get that worked out and continue to succeed.
I would not want to be a John Deere dealer in Canada right now. Lot of annoyed folks up there.

45 outside right now, heading to lower 60's with more rain expected later.

Still recovering from the city trip. LOL. Both the traffic and the work load. Brought the work load home, left the traffic where it was. It is probably still there. Where are all these people coming from and why do they have such non 9 to 5 hours? LOL.

Wife had a surprise when I got home. She finally found the old stain glass window that has been laying around the farm probably since the original owners. It got relocated over the renovations and years. The really cool (meant to be) part is it fit exactly into the frame of our new Milk House bathroom window. The casing and frame of course was custom built by yours truly early last year. That it fit is karma of some sort. All she has to do is paint it. Looks----amazing.

Always good to come home to something special.

Time for morning chores and I need to get more wood out of the front yard. Sigh.

Hope all have a great day. Be safe.

Good morning! 54˚F heading to 93˚, the hottest day this year, cloudless skies and S wind.

Got a bit more done on the dry riverbed, still plugging away, and mowed the back yard. Since the pool and travertine take up most of the back yard it was a quick job. I need to paint the strip of cement in front of the garage doors today after my cement patch repair job where the rebar was showing.

Best chance of rain from the SE is Thursday. My freshly fertilized yard needs it badly.
