Good morning!!!!

Good Morning,
Ct, 35 to start going to 52. Nice steady rain yesterday and the ground needed it. Grass is greening up quickly now, I imagine it won’t be long before it’s time to start mowing. 😉

Scotty, I see you visited Patchogue. That's where my youngest son lives
Billy, wow that’s interesting, it’s a really nice small town on the water. We were out on the pier for awhile but the wind was tough with the low temps. Ken is very familiar with the area having gone to school in Stony Brook. I’m guessing your son has tried the Blue Point Brewery.

Dennis, the width on the deck is only 10 ft but I could only find 8 ft edge boards, so on the ends there will be a splice. Which is really no big deal to me, I will try and make it look good. I’m just hoping the weather is warm enough up there to get some quality hours in on the project without freezing 😃

Drew, the shed looks great 😉

Looks better out side today, some more lawn work in my future 😉

Hope all have a blessed and safe day 🙏.

good morning, 41 going to 56

Glad to return back home to the mountain after the specialist appointment in the city yesterday. Brought back how much I dislike the traffic and congestion. Wife commented on how I was not dressed for the city. LOL

Picking up groceries and looking at some firewood this morning

Good Morning
46°, sunny and dry today.

Didnt get a lot done yesterday, a little bit in the shop, some 3D printing, a bit more in front of the fire relaxing while it was too dreary to work outside.

I postponed the shed delivery until it dries up enough to prepare the pad for it. Hated to do it, but it would have been a mess otherwise.

Today will start with breakfast with the professor, then probably help pull the wires through the conduit that we installed over the weekend at my neighbors. As always not much else planned, but I’m confident that the day will fill up.

They make them longer, just gotta hunt for them. $52 supposed to be in stock about 25 miles away. I thought about just putting shorter ones in, and join behind the middle posts.

found a new brand of tools, one Wagtail I'm sure has heard of since it's Australian and has
now made it to Amazon. I was looking for a manual grease gun to take with me up to the NY cabin
with the Gravely, to show the new owner how to grease it. My grease gun at home is air powered, too big to haul.

I looked at a number of brands, decided on Lincoln, made in India and wanted a one hander, not two.
having a free hand to guide that rubber hose always worked well for me.
but while researching saw the brand Macnaught. Apparently well known in Australia for hose reels and pumps.
Other than lamb we don't see a lot of Australian products. Unfortunately it was half again more expensive than the Lincoln.
I do not doubt Australian workers are better paid than Indians.

Alemite has been my go to grease gun brand, Drew. They work well, and I have a few that are over 30 years old with many a tube of grease thru them.

Morning all, 40 going up to 60 and cloudy.
Could not stop sneezing yesterday, allergy pills etc. did not work, worn out.

Called Dads GF and got her to agree to funeral home coming over her house for signatures, now to see if she will let them in.

Drew - don't forget the lock n lube :)

Still need to rake out the front areas if they get dry enough. I rake it before the winter sets in, but it would be hard to tell I did that after all the high wind events in the last few weeks.

So many items on the list for me to do, sure I won't run out of items, just oomph to get them done.

My big monitor I got from work made a popping sound and won't turn on. Will take it apart and see if I can find a bad cap, as that was the sound they usually make when the insulating layer goes, using a smaller backup screen now, missing the second large screen really hampers my work.

Be well,

Good Morning!!!! 62F @ 6:30AM. Sunny to partly cloudy. Near record high temperatures. High near 80F. Winds SSE at 5 to 10 mph.
This might also be the record high low for the year as well.
RNG, Is it still available, and will you hold it for me until next week? 😁
Best I can do is give you first right of refusal. And to which "it" are you referring?

+1 on the Lock'n'Lube, at least for the tip. I see they sell an new innovative grease gun now, too.
Had to grease the FEL on the tractor the other day by hand, as there's no compressor here. Hands were sore the next day, as the manual one is a one hander.

Took care of a lot of little jobs yesterday, then it was back to my old bug-a-boo electrical stuff. They really went crazy with three and even four way light switches in this place, and I screwed up badly when I replaced them with so called "smart" switches. Thought I had it licked a time or two now, but I'm still working on it. To add insult to injury, the ceiling fan in the master bedroom stopped working, so it was off to town for a new one. I did get the last tree dragged down to the burn pile.

Won't finish everything, and have to bring different tools up, so I guess there's another trip in the somewhat near future. Realtor reported that the video and photos weren't ready as promised, so the listing is in his court for a while longer.

should we be thanking the countries who have been our best allies with our business?
as an alternative to buying more locally?
Australia is one of the US's best non Nato allies.

flip side is we sure won't be buying any tractors from North Korea any time soon.
can you imagine how many bugs and trackers would be built in...

thankfully South Korea makes fine tractors, lots of us own them.
I wonder why Malaysia and The Philippines haven't been more into tractor building.
maybe too many islands and the geography. Goods made in Singapore are often very high quality for example.
but I guess the market is already saturated with less expensive Asian rivals from India and China, while Japan
provides the higher end products.

This right to repair issue has hurt John Deere. I hope they get that worked out and continue to succeed.
I would not want to be a John Deere dealer in Canada right now. Lot of annoyed folks up there.
Nothing runs away from work like a John Deere. I had a cable skidder made by JD, it spent more time in the shop than in the bush. :(

Good Afternoon Dennis,
I thought about just putting shorter ones in, and join behind the middle posts.
Dennis, I was planning on doing the same thing on the front face of the deck. I have 2 ,6x6” posts on a 18 or 19 ft run so it should work for me. 😉

64°F and no rain

A very good day with taxes yesterday. Most frustration was password at the military pay website. Have to change passwords even 150 days. I managed to answer security questions incorrectly. Fortunately they sent temp password so I could redo. Sometimes I think I just mistype some answers, like Rd vs road.
A good possibility of finishing up this morning.

Nice in town Happy Hour. Enjoyed a delicious steak and shrimp burrito.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day
