Several, all used and abused.
It all started when my wife said that she wanted to get a "Show" quality Akita puppy and start going to dog shows. Several years later, and several dogs later, we now have a stainless steel dog bathtub. It was only $2,400 and Amazon is letting her make 6 equal payments without interest.

I admit to doing more then my share of dumb things, like getting horses, getting goats, getting chickens, but getting show dogs was by far the dumbest of the dumb things I ever agreed to!!!

While I love my dogs, and enjoy having them, the level of crazy is impossible to describe. The only thing worse is what those silly ribbons end up costing us.

Here she is in all her glory with our newest puppy. This is in a 12x30 room that I'm building between our house and our garage. It's only going to get worse for me.

Yea, life is tough, can't with them, can't without. This is how many less stable men turn to be gay

Happy Wife? Take that as a win.
I the nut for the big dogs here. Latest are 2 Anatolians, now 14 months... but they don't get baths beyond swimming in the ponds.

When you said ā€œI do.ā€ Yep, I see a lot of dog shows in your future. Those are nice wash sinks. They have those at our local Tractor Supply Store. I take the dogs there once in awhile for a wash. $11 and you can use the sink, shampoo, drying towels, and blow dryer. But I guess you have your own custom dog salon at home now. At least it keeps her happy.

We added a dog room with bathtub to my utility room. Its something like 8’x10’ or so. My dog paid for it…..with sale of puppies.

Heated, window for air, includes a mini man …er… dog door to garage. The dog door is weatherstriped, has threshold and lock.

Wife went nuts painting and decorating it.

She keeps reminding me to replace the molding my current dog did as a puppy…..but i say the dog should do the repair.

Without the ribbons, you can't sell the offspring at a premium. Without the ribbon, how do you know you're buying the bestest dog or b**ch available to advance the pedigree? You need more and better everything to attain the top level and get better ribbons. ;)

Good Evening Eddie,
I feel for you my friend šŸ˜‰ I wish I could just send you a couple jugs of maple syrup, like I did in 2006, to make it better but i know that won’t do it šŸ˜‚

Karen is a sweetie , best to keep her happy 😃

@EddieWalker Could be worse...fancy equines, trainers, trucks, trailers, extra large wash racks, stalls, barns, hay, and some disciplines don't even have ribbons.

Whatever brings joy into the house is šŸ‘šŸ‘ in my book. You can't take it with you, and the memories are sometimes wonderful. Your dogs look amazing to me.

All the best, Peter

Started at "I do". After that remember the two words that make a marriage work - "Yes Dear". Dogs aren't bad, it could be worse. I am now vacuuming up the horse poop in the turnouts.

Sounds to me like you are just a great husband to your Wife Eddie. You can’t hide it.

Your post unfortunately is only letting most of us know what we've already learned the hard way. You need to help the future generation. That is why every that I have some teenage boys help us put up hay, I ask them, "What was the most important thing you learned today?" None of them have given me the correct answer, but they all nod their head in agreement when I tell them.

"Stay away from girls that like horses!" šŸ˜†

In hindsight, I can see that all of you are right. But it happened slowly, one thing at a time, until I got to this point. It's only going to get worse. We have 7 Akita's and she is so excited about the last breeding that we did that she wants to do it again.

The puppy in the picture and the video is just 7 months old and already 110 pounds. He's a freak of nature in how well he has developed, and what he might become. We're getting inquiries about him from the top people in Europe, which just fuels the crazy to another level.

Yeah, I would agree with you that faceplates on electrical switches might be a good idea, especially next to spraying water. :ROFLMAO:

Looks great, and I'm glad everybody seems happy.

All the best,

Peter

Yup, looks just like the one I take my lab "Sadie" to at TSC (10.68 incl tax). Its a pretty sweet deal. In summer time I take her by the pond throw a ball in, lather her up, toss it in as many times as needed. Let her run around to dry off.

My wife would ask the same question you did though... When I bought chickens she was so so ok with them. Fell in love with "Rose". But the ducks, she is no ducking duck lover... 😁 I'm thinking we are gonna be eating em sooner than later...

She didn't care for the idea of a dawg either but fell in love with Sadie. Neither of us grew up with animals in the house, that was an adjustment. I told Sadie, not to go into any other room but my den and the hallway. She has only maybe 5 times gone outside her boundary in about 4 years now. No gates or fences, she just minds that well. I did however buy good stock. British Lab with UK pedigreed parents. I believe she is smartern me. ;)

I do like the tub and dog too. And its gonna get bigger. WOW. Congrats on the new space/tub.
