unsuccessful morning
feel better though a little off
dentist went to install the crown and I hear an uh oh.
he said it's not uncommon when dealing with molars that sometimes the first crown
isn't quite right. He is trying to avoid anything more than a floss width between teeth and today
it failed the floss test. So he took another impression, and will get another slightly larger crown in a week.
oh well, good that he sets high standards, otherwise I'd be flossing after every meal which is a pita.

warming up, might go out and work on the two remaining car wheels, just for excuse to sit in the sun.
Also going to hoe/rake the veggie garden and toss some fertilizer in

Gas was 3.69 here at the cheapest local place.

which in this area is 30 to 40 cents high, 3.19 in Doylestown
there used to be two gas stations across from each other in Washington Crossing, one no longer pumps gas.
But Skerdlant's, which used to be McKissics, always went there own way because they knew the local market.
So they never posted gas prices. And they would pump your gas which is nice in PA. I bet regular is 3.99 there; clearly
for folks who the price of gas is not a big deal. Put simply, they were unapologetically expensive.
Back in the 60's my next older brother worked at McKissic's while I worked at the bag mill in New Hope.
That was when you got your front and back windshields cleaned too.

is Costco gas "certified" meaning I think they pledge to change the fuel filters on time.

nothing worse than pulling up to a gas pump and seeing the fuel filter totally covered in rust.
Everything I had done at that station had to be redone multiple times.
Stopped going to them, even knowing the owner and shop manager didn't help.

Good Morning!!!! 51F @ 7:30AM. Sunny. High 68F. Winds SW at 5 to 10 mph.

Had the new hollow core door for the pump house all marked off for trimming when I saw that the solid portions around the edges would not be thick enough to hold the hinge screws after the trim. So back to town, where I learned that HD doesn't even carry solid core doors, having gone to fiberglass and steel, which can't be trimmed. Went to a real lumber yard, but their door guy went home early, and the kid behind the counter was no help at all. Ended up at Lowes, where the clerk showed me an interior door with a solid wood outer frame, but Masonite center panel. Twice the price of the first door, and no guarantees that the glue holding it together would hold up. With no other options, it came home with me. Had just enough daylight left to get it cut down and fitting into the door frame, so I'll mortice the hinges today and get it hung. And maybe get a coat of paint on it.

Another realtor shows up this afternoon; should be interesting.

It's still a little brisk outside, so I think I'll get a couple window screens replaced, working out in the garage that'll be a little warmer.

Happy Hump Day, folks!

43°F this morning and cloudy, going up to 65° today. Voice on the radio said we might get near 70° on Friday. I'm OK with that.

L4N, I wandered up on a skunk that made it into our coup a couple years ago, and was too busy trying to crack open a duck egg to be bothered by me. I was probably three feet away when I first saw him. Think I posted a video here when it happened. I've been fortunate to not get sprayed yet, having been too close on a few occasions.

Gas around here has been hovering around $3.19/gal for the last couple of months. Was quite unsettled before that, but seems steadier now.

Good morning, gents.

I have one tooth with too wide a gap. get the crown redone, as much as it is a PITA. I'm going to have to get mine redone.

PJ, back in the '80s I worked for a small contracting firm driving their fuel truck. I was the first one in the yard most mornings, so I opened the closed in 'gate' one morning and right on the other side was Pepe Le Pu. I calmly said good morning to it (don't know if it was a female or male), and said that there were going to be a lot of people there soon. I walked back over to my pickup (about 100' each way) to get my lunch pail and when I got back there was no skunk to be seen and no stink either.

Good Afternoon Bill ,
. My get up and go, got up and went without me.
Well I find that pretty funny, but I also remind myself that I’m not that far away from the same thing ! In fact I have that affliction at times now ! 😉😂
