Coffee is brewing. 10° with light snow this morning. Heading to 21° with cloudy skies. Yesterday was a good conserve energy day. With fresh coating of snow overnight I will put grocery shopping off until tomorrow. Went out to bring garbage can in from road. Look like county road grader hit it. I thinks its repairable. That will be my project for today.
Everything is covered with snow.

enjoying my hot coffee, will leave around 8am with volvo headed for detail place in Doylestown.
am hoping they can get the water spotting/mineral deposits off my car.
Then I will leave the car in the garage til my sister gets here in two weeks.

I was eyeballing the Expedition sitting in front of garage door. Going to be very tight fitting that long vehicle in garage, not
sure it will go. I might fiddle with that today, see how much stuff I have to move in order to fit it in there. Not sure I'll be able to open
driver's door enough to get my wide body out. Hopefully this weekend I will be able to start on my project of derashing the aluminum wheels.

Mostly, 24 mighty cold for you. better stock up the wood wagon.

time for a hot shower and a cold bathroom floor.

Stayed busy after grocery shopping yesterday, outside the rest of the day puttering around. As long as you were in the sun even at 20° it felt pretty nice.
Not sure about today, may conserve energy for awhile.

At 4:30am 19.9 degrees / 15.3 dew point / Wind Chill 8.3. Temps likely to drop another degree or two before sunrise. The forecast was for 18 degrees, so maybe correct for a change.

The USAF continues to operate the Boeing C-17 Globemaster III part of the AMC (Air Mobility Command), headquartered at Scott AFB in Illinois. The Globemaster design, as with many systems, is undergoing improvements for combat and efficiency. The latest is a Microvane technology to improve fuel efficiency and claimed to offer a 7 month return on investment and saving 14 million annually in fuel.
The Globemaster ceiling is spec'd at 45,000 feet, max speed 518mph (25,000 ft), with a range of 2,760 miles. Max Payload is 170,900 pounds.

Snowed all day from before light through dusk...but very fine, so only 2" but much more at the other end of our county and 12 at the Beach. 22 now eventually climbing to 32.

I finally got the tax and financial statements mailed yesterday after 2 failed attempts...1st time on Saturday morning found a sign taped to the locked door that said "no transaction due to computer problem." Then, Monday was a holiday, so closed, and then Tuesday went to a Post Office on the way to lunch in town, and they had one window open and a line of 16 people, so hunger won over waiting a half hour to get the 5 big envelopes weighed and stamped. Yesterday went to a 3rd PO in the snow, and no one was in line!

Spike hard to believe a plane that big and heavy can go over 500mph, or even get off the ground. They are amazing to see fly over low sometimes when I've been in the northwestern part of the state.

22 this morning staying in 20s all day maybe 1.5 in of snow east won in this event. Probably one more snow here by end of month but March will be cold as a whole.

Still no power lots of promises but no joy.
Generator is 5500 watt homelite just does essentials but lucky to have it

23 outside right now, may get to 30 today. May also get some more snow. Yesterday was a winter wonderland, thankfully, only an inch. Powder type. Nice. Easy cleanup of walkways.

New heat pump in other house. All day job. No issues going in, just a tight fit in the attic for the air handler. Some electrical code updates. Unfortunate it did not install in time for the pipes not to freeze. Spent the evening hours under the house with a heat lamp to get one line thawed. Thank goodness it did not burst. All ok this AM.

Vet, horse and border not on the same page as us. More care for the horse than we usually supply. It is a high drama situation.

Need to get busy this AM, animal care and wood stacking. Real jobs calling. Lots of work on the downside going on. Not a happy time for sure.

Mostly, didn’t invest any time in that property other than a couple messages. Learned my lesson, ask about building requirements first. I did ask last time, but not the right questions. Can’t believe rural areas so stringent. I know other people buy recreational property, why a house before any other building? This is up on a mountain, not in a city.
Looks like WV still the best option.

GM Dennis , when I built our barn in Vermont I asked if I needed a building permit , nope just build it and at some point the town Listers will be there to measure it and add it to the town rolls for tax purposes!
Obviously we did have a house on the property already but I don’t think it matters here ! Then a few years later we put the addition on the house, at that time I submitted a sketch to the selectman and had that approved !

Need to get more serious on compiling tax info and get moving on that project!

Good morning TBN!!

25 this morning going to higher 30s. Light snow right now but I think we are in the middle. Snow North and snow South.
Okay day yesterday. Ran the new genny on a couple of quarts of gas and it performed well. I will put some more time on it and then change the oil.
Then pulled the spark plug on most used 4 wheeler. Cleaned gapped and reinstalled. Seems to have helped the sputtering and stalling when going down hill. Time will tell.
Puttered the rest of the afternoon.
Today I may revisit building a torch cart. Got some ideas from here and elseware. Just need to round up materials.

Time for a second cup and see what the day has in store for me.

session with lady at front desk.
might not pick up car this afternoon, since snow is due in and they said no problem waiting til tomorrow.
that sounds like a better plan, want to take clean car home and put in garage

Nothing is in order since his GF is in charge.
We only found out due to the Hospice nurse finding my brothers phone number on hospital paperwork.
But the situation could be worse so we'll deal with it as it unfolds.

Dennis, when I was out West one of the things that really struck me was the lack of zoning and building
codes in many areas. Seemed to be where all the old worn out single wides and rvs went to die.
Seems to avoid that, they ban them all until you build your home there.
I wonder if you can beat their system by putting up a tiny home. Use it for a guest cottage later.
