Thanks for the update. People don't always do that.

It was the neutral safety switch. He said there are 2 and one had to be replaced under warranty. The IMV was fine and the safety switch caused that error.
Interesting, Mine only has 1. Wonder where the 2nd one is??

You own a MT357 ?
I do like having the safety switches but they definitely are well known to cause problems sometimes. Fortunately mine have never caused any trouble.
Waiting 5 weeks to get the problem figured out and fixed on a brandnew tractor had to be very frustrating.

Me? No, MT240E, it's in my info panel, but I'm pretty sure the MT2, 3 and 4 models are the same.

I agree, I haven't had a problem yet, but feel like if I do, I have some good knowledge to rule a few things out quickly.
I tried to start mine Friday and initially the dash lit up but no crank, I quickly checked the PTO and actually cycled it a couple times and then it started. Initially the dash was dark, had gauges but no backlight then in about 10 seconds it lit up normally. So there may be an issue looming. It now has about 356 hours.
I loaded it on the trailer for Saturday use and Saturday it started and the dash worked normally and I used it about 4 hours just fine.
I may clean the grounds again soon.

It's unfortunate that they couldn't figure out the problem on site without bringing it into the shop. The neutral switch is not that hard to diagnose, and is what many of us here agreed was probably the problem right from the beginning. Not criticizing them in any way, just saying it could have been fixed alot quicker if they could have found the problem and fixed it there. But I know things don't always go well on service calls, and simple problems are sometimes hard to figure out. Glad it's finally fixed.
