I'll share here too.

OEM Stihl piston tools I use from stihl that make removing pins easier. Cheaper to buy really since like 5 apiece then time to make on lathe.

Yes I used to redneck use dowels, sockets etc etc etc too. But one day I said f it and bought a set to make life easier. Time is money.

Poulan etc pin puller I got from Chris at sawsalvage for $23. If you aint got the oem tool or redneck your own. This maybe makes it so easy.

Pulling parts from a parts saw for a guy. 3700 thin ring piston and cylinder.

Been using for many years now too. Stihl one for close to 10 years.

Once you got right tool you wont go back. Just a no brainer when tools so cheap for job. Stihl 5 bucks.

The tapered punch sometimes would get stuck and mf to get out. Plus bigger pins the redneck stuff didnt even fit would go right through. Why had to use dowels etc.

Only thing I cant stand is those freaking plastic handles on 4910 and 490. With the rubber antivibe these use can feel the vibes more.

I tested switching my other 501 handle on 490 and back forth same dang vibes felt with plastic handle. Not with metal and thick rubber coating.

If this one had been 4910 I wouldnt have bought it. Metal handles 50.

Talking with a guy right now that wants to trade for my 670 champ. So far he has showed me a decent 353.

Working out the trades.

Sweet saw and runs great. I only bought and fixed years back to see how they ran. Run very very good.

Just not needed here and dont collect saws. Want users I can still get parts for.

To me there is no reason to buy those cnc muffler deflectors for echo 501 4910 490 500.
IMO even 590 620 too. 30mins or less with one I am done.

But that is me. Easy peasy.

Toss that inner piece with tiny pipe.

Bye bye 670 Champ. Some bubblewrap and then trash bag. Then ;) 😂 :ROFLMAO:

Collector wanted and we did some trading.

They run great for a 50mm with 34mm stroke. Was highly impressed with it.
