Good Morning!!!! 43F @ 4:45AM. Abundant sunshine. High 66F. Winds NNW at 10 to 15 mph.

Sounds like a good day for you yesterday, Thomas!

You gonna tap all those holes now, Paul?

Can't blame your sister for giving up on California, Drew. I probably should have, too.

Yesterday's CT scan showed no leakage and for a while we had hopes my buddy would be discharged. But the irrregular heartbeat and high blood pressure nixed the chances. Probably also means they'll be on some sort of medication, at least for a while, after discharge, which almost certainly will happen today. Mid afternoon saw a move to a regular room, which was actually nicer than the one in the ICU, and also private. I'll be playing taxi driver today if all goes well.

Did a little more poking around in the hospital yesterday and just can't get over how big the place is. I found one hallway that seemed to be about 100 yards long. Lots of art and murals on the walls, litle nooks to sit down and rest, and bathrooms seemingly around every corner. Hand sanitizer stations also stocked with Kleenex and trash cans, too. Four huge atriums full of beautiful plants and even an artificial stream. It would be a great place to work if not for all the sick people.

Glad everyone seems to be coping with the weather, and hope you all enjoy the rest of your weekend.

Good morning TBN!!
16 this morning 20 now and upper 30s this afternoon with plenty of sun. Should lose most of the snow today. I'm good with that. Time for Spring :)
Most of my steps yesterday were on the 4 wheelers. Even the wife got out and rode for an hour. First time she has been around the land since Helene. She is amazed by the number of trees we had down. Most are in the woods so not much cleanup has happened yet. I just cleared the ones on the trails. I'll let the others season a bit :).
Not sure what's on my agenda today except some shop time and probably football. I don't have a dog in that hunt anymore so I will likely pull for the Lions overall. Sister lives in Detroit.
I will probably let nature do most of the snow removal as we don't need out for a few days and not expecting anybody. Just the way I like it :)
FEMA actually called us and they are supposed to be here this next week. We'll see. I have heard that a couple of times already but it's the first time they have called us so fingers crossed.
Time for another cup then the dog is already asking to go.

Everyone have a great and safe day!!

24 outside this AM, similar to yesterday, heading to upper 30's. Could use some snow/ice melt.

Did domestic stuff yesterday and that was about it.

Will set up game cams this AM and of course do the animal care. It's a routine I am getting tired of. The animal care. Especially with the snow on the ground. Walking is truly exercise with the snow still deep.

Have a good day all, be safe.

can get same interior size in a pickup perhaps for less so keeping my eye out there.
It has to fit in my garage though. I'm good for another two feet longer than what I have now.
Right now 2024 F-250 w/ 6.5' box and ~6 miles are going about as cheap as you can find them. Less than most F-150 V-8's. Dealers need to clean the lots.

Interesting walk with Cody this morning. Ravens making a lot of noise and saw a large bird that they were chasing and all landed in a tree near the driveway. Thinking it is the usual Hawk but it was larger with a white head so must be an Eagle

Morning all, 29 going up to 36 and looks like wind is now calm.
Took out the handheld blower and moved some snow.
Not much accomplished, but that's all I got.

Fire in fireplace to end the evening.

Glad your friend is doing better RNG,

I will be looking for a truck next year, hopefully by then the 2-3 year off lease will be cheap enough. Need tires for the current truck, probably get in March when it's due for inspection.
Bought used, driven to the ground, but this one is still running fine.

Princeton , my old neighborhood. Very central for shopping, but don't like driving there too much as the visitors seem to think wandering into the main road is legal for some reason. College is really nice, but boy is it expensive and hard to get into.
Some buildings are right out of the Oxford Architecture and they put up a new building almost every year.
My son was born in Princeton hospital, him and I have in common that the hospitals we were born in no longer exist.

Be well,

65°F and .45 inches rain. Overcast again.

Treated ourselves to a splurge dinner last night. One of the better hotels in town recently resumed the seafood buffet closed down during covid. Of course the price has more than doubled over the years, but not to worry. So has my retirement - NOT. 2.5% this year. Anyway it was good, but expect the scales to be protesting this morning.

30w Solar panel for gate openers arrived and got that just about ready to install.

Probably watch some playoffs today.

Prayers for all
Be safe
Have a great day

Afternoon all!
Currently sunny and a tick above freezing.
Wife and I decided with only 3 inches or so of soft fluffy snow we would hand shovel all 3 driveways.
Now it's time to rest and relax!
Numerous appointments for family this upcoming week will keep us both busy. More her than me. I'm taking one sister for a colonoscopy procedure while she is taking her dad for eye injections.
Not easy getting old! Lol!

Got a head start on Christmas 2025 in the shop. Made 6 bells (no pic yet) and an ornament. Working on a bowl and a dish also.

Need to clean the pellet stove if temps outside get high enough. Need to check the forecast.

Time for a nap I think!
Hope everyone stays safe and healthy!

37 deg out, feels like 50s after the cold we've had. hope it melts some of the snow, before the next cold comes in again tuesday.
good worship, good lunch with a large crowd at the usual italian place. I usually bring half my meal home for later.
Pellet stove needs cleaned, maybe tomorrow.

Am thankful my high school relationships didn't work out.
