Good Morning,
Ct,24 to start going to 32 with clear skies and a stiff breeze! The good news is that the sun is out!

Worship service was very good this morning, small group but nice !

Kathleen went to the grand kids soccer practice, so I’m free for the time being ! Going for a long walk but need to bundle up really good !

That is the one I worry about tearing up, so I try to pack the snow into the stone thoroughly before I turn the blade (> to cut

Bill, would welding a pipe onto the bottom of the blade help so as not to tear up the stone ? My good friend and neighbor did that with his plow truck which he only uses on his property!

And hopefully a good one for the Giants, even though that may mean a lower draft pick !

23°F and light snow this morning, going up to 28° today. I got up at 05:00 and we had barely a dusting, then went back to bed for a couple more hours. Was a light mix falling when I went out to feed the chickens, and has been steadily getting a little heavier as it goes. We'll see what the day brings.

Snow on the way, maybe, sorta kinda, lol. Forecast swings from 6-8", 12+", 4" max, or wintery mix. All depends on where the main band, that's fluctuating on the hour, ends up passing over.

So, just in case, I fired up the generator yesterday and hooked up a 1500w heater outside for an hour to exercise. We don't generally lose power, but just in case. Did some other prep work and piddled in the garage most of the afternoon.

Came in the house to chicken and dumplings. Good end to a chilly day.

unfortunately the switch in the controller had continuity when switched to on. The terminals it plugs into measured like an open circuit on the ohm meter. Must be a circuit board problem. Will order one tomorrow from Boss

if you could figure out what part failed, doesn't look too hard to desolder/solder a new one on.
you'd need a schematic to work your way through it to check values.

forecast just upped from 1 inch to 2 to 4.
I have a 10am appt tomorrow at Lahaska bank to pick up an expiring CD.
sounds like a good excuse to go for a drive in the snow.
hopefully I can use the snowblower first so I don't pack down the driveway.

Going away party was quite nice. The guys are moving to Penang, a 2700 sf beach front condo for $750/month.Claim they can live very well thereon their SS and pensions even if they don’t sell Hawaii property.

No big plans for today. Watch some football, a bit of clean up from yesterday.

It would but then I would have to cut it off for the rest of the driveways, including my own. Turning the blade backwards only takes a minute.

Plowing all done and tractor fueled and ready for the next snow fall, it took me 3 hours total including 30 minute warm up.
I turned the BB to cut and the gravel stayed put. I guess it is sufficiently frozen in now.

Tomorrow I need to get my nuts tightened up and then it is hammer down for North Bay. I have a 11 A.M. luncheon meeting with two of the guys I work with in the summer.

neighbor gave me big bag of candied bourbon pecans
crushed a cup of them, put them in Ghiradelli dark chocolate mix plus raisins
delaying a little gratification by letting them cool...

will give most away, for sure not on my diet.
but there is always the highly necessary quality control to be performed...
