Thomas, you ever eat at Weathervane seafood, West Lebanon? I ate there in 2001.... Was going thru my NH, VT pictures which are poorly dated, then went to quicken which has good dates for where I stayed and ate... I don't remember going there, but it's in quicken. Stayed at White river junction Hampton Inn, and we went to church in White river junction the next day. After that we headed west on Rt 4 to Rutland, then south on Rt 7, I think..

42 going to 52 and windy. Happy 2025!

Lou and Scotty, looks like you had a good day. Lou, I would definitely stop by your nephew's farm to buy meat if I lived nearby.

Made my last dump run of the year and fill-up of the truck, and then took Della for a long walk.

We got a pretty serious thunderstorm at sunset. Had friends over for an early New Year's and they live about 5 miles west and had hail there. Other friends arrived late, too, understandably waiting for the storm to pass.

We all celebrated New Year's in London since it was 7pm here. The ladies wanted to toast each hour as New Year's arrived somewhere new, like Rio, Labrador, etc. I've never seen so many hors d'oeuvres...my wife made so many and guests brought some, too. One man had bought fresh clams, minced them and mixed with stuffing, then baked them in the clam shell...big hit.

We usually do a First Day Hike so I need to find a trail somewhat shielded from the predicted wind...my original spot has 47mph gusts forecasted. Too bad the "Grand Canyon of the East" is all the way over to the Virginia/Kentucky border...would be nice to get down there.
Sounds like clams casino. Good eating.

not a bad drive to airport
sitting in cell phone lot for an hour, almost entertaining watching folks race into parking spots, hop from one spot to another, when everyone has to go out the far end anyway...like they have ants in their pants.

thankfully not much traffic on a holiday, dropped my friend off at her home with a box of take out food for her dinner.
She immediately made a fire in fireplace, that's going to feel really nice soon.
Very windy out, could feel car get buffeted around but not in same league as rv.

I have some crab cakes for dinner later.
need to come up with recipe for rest of prime rib leftovers, maybe just a different topping/seasoning.
I cooked it medium rare so should handle one more warm up.
maybe slice it really thin and make a Philly cheese steak out of it, cooked onions, sharp cheddar
tonight those crab cakes with some Kelchner's cocktail sauce will be a nice change.

nice looking truck Newbury
white is great in Florida but a little color can be nice
I like the cloth upholstery
you'll find one, should be some decent value trucks out there finally.
but if you can buy a Southern truck

Good Evening and happy New Year.
Cold and windy here, just back up from the barn chores, wind makes it feel colder than the 40° the thermometer reads.
Been going through stuff in the house, looking through mountains of photo albums and video tapes.

I have a Nortel phone system in the house and shop, these days it just gets used for paging and intercom, but we still have a landline and the Nortel voicemail. I ran a cable to the old folks home, so today I made all the connections and installed and programmed a phone here.

Found such treasures as my realist 3D camera along with slides, viewer and projector. Also lots of obsolete computers and peripherals.

For those hesitant to stream, I can’t be happier with how it’s working out for me.
I have a LOT of vinyl and CD’s. I am not getting rid of that collection, but I haven’t found anything that I couldn’t stream. And I can stream it to the car, either of the systems in the old folks home, or the shop.
To give an idea of how much program material I’ve accumulated, I have 3 of these full of CD’s and DVD’s, and much more in vinyl.

Anyone want an IKELite camera housing? I can’t believe how much “stuff” I have.
