good morning and Happy New Year all, 39 going to high of 44 and windy, Almost knocked me over walking Cody this morning

Stayed awake for the new year, wife said something I never do. A little fireworks in the distance but otherwise calm

Van decided not to charge the battery yesterday. Scan gauge showed 11.5 volts when in town at the clinic. But started fine.
Found a mechanic locally that I may use to fix it. I can do it but doing this from under the van without a lift is not appealing to me at the moment. The mechanic does a lot of YouTubes on his diagnostics and repairs and I am impressed.

nice they offer you a choice of microns, would think you would want smallest possible for best filtration
I have to change my filters three times a year, water is full of iron and rust.
I would compare the microns of replaceable sediment filters to this one's 50 micron option
Sediment filter not that expensive, but not having to change filters, if that works, sounds wonderful.

I installed 3 filters in line for my well water. First filter is String 10 Micron. Second is 5 Micron. Third is 5 Micron Carbon. All 2 1/2 x 10 inches.
My old system was 2 filters mounted in parallel. They did a good job of filtering. But did not stop iron smell in water.
New system has only been in use a few days.

I purchase my filters at Menards as needed.
String type filter seem to be the recommended filters for well water.

Good Morning,
Vt, 32 to start going to 39 ! Started off the New Year on the right foot, slept very good last night ! Went to bed at 9:30 and slept until 7 ! Only 2 short pee breaks!

I think the wood splitting/stacking tired Opa out along with my grandson Roman !

The rest of the clan leaves today, so the place will become eerily quiet very soon !

Thomas, it does seem very weird to have no snow cover this time of year but I’m sure that will change when the colder weather moves back in !

Kathleen and I will be cleaning up the carnage later today before we leave on Thursday! Let oks like I will be working on Friday but the little vacation away from Connecticut was nice but a bit hectic !

That may be the last of the hay delivery in the old barn. The wife and I are rethinking the animals in 2025. Her business is the last of the "our choice" boat anchors.

Both of us are in the simplify mode. I think that is a great way and idea to start a new year.
