New TYM 2515R review

Don't forget 2515 and 3515 power train is identical, you just need to turn up the fuel.

I've read this statement before...I've got a 273, same as the 291...never is an example given nor are instructions about how to perform this magical feat offered. If you say it can be done - then back up your talk or quit spouting what I believe is false information! Just how does one "Turn up the fuel" and create extreme excessive horsepower? Provide data or walk away.

No idea in TYM, but Kioti Ck26 vs Ck35 vs Ck40, there is a screw on the front of the pump, covered by a pressed cap, and there are many videos. Maybe try googling TYM 2515 fuel screw

BTW, I took a video with my potato phone to document the issue. When going up hill in rear drive only, the tractor would stop moving forward and make a loud ratcheting, screeching noise, like gears stripping or something. Again, it's probably not going to be the best video, but hopefully it will get the point across.

ETA: and just for the record, we absolutely love this tractor on our farm. TYM is on the clock now.

Just talked to the dealer. They tore into it and didn't find anything wrong.

I asked if they test drove it to recreate the problem and he said they didn't. Sigh....

Not sure what's going to happen now, but he said they're going to continue troubleshooting next week.

In the video, do you have anything on the 3 pt hitch? Did you try it again in 4x4?

Nothing was on the 3pt hitch. Once on the hill, the only way to continue up it was to use 4x4, because rear drive only resulted in sitting there with the loud noise and vibration in the rear end. Going down hill and on level ground I didn't need 4x4.

I know it is in the shop now, but I would be curious if you jacked the rear up, in 2wd, if the rears act normal, as well as spin freely in neutral?

Did you check both rear tires once it reached the point it wouldn't move? Were those spinning? Both sides? Almost looks like it was just tire spin.

So the dealer cannot recreate it, and they looked in the rear end and found nothing?

Can they recreate the circumstances you were driving in?

I'm wondering about wheels spinning in the rims now too. Were you certain the rear axle wasn't turning?

Op. Mark the wheel tire alignments both sides and recheck would not be the first time a tubeless tire rotated on a tractor rim under power.

I guess that's possible...but every time the problem occurred, there was a significant vibration, too, like something mechanical slipping, ratcheting, or grinding.

In any case, I don't have the tractor, so I can't test it.

I dont think it's a tire vs rim issue, I think it sounds like an axle shaft kinda issue

Also, after it happened the first time, I again attempted to climb the hill and again it wouldn't move due to whatever issue it was. So, on the third try, I locked the rear, thinking it might help and nope, same thing again, so I doubt BOTH tires were spinning on their respective rims.

I dont think it can be clutch, because you had plenty of drive on the fronts to pull yourself up hill; I highly doubt the tire slipping. And you tried locking the diff, so now, I'm thinking it's in the diff

I wonder what the dealer meant by they tore into it? Did they drain the hydraulic fluid before tearing into it? If so, did they inspect for metal in the fluid?

Do you have liquid ballast in the rear tires? If so, what was used and how much air pressure are you using behind the liquid?

I’m struggling to understand what could fail in the differential that would cause this scenario. I would think there would be noise or something regardless if it was under load or not. Just rotating would yield some noise I would think.

Without a detailed schematic of the rear axle and differential, it's hard to say. Maybe under load, the axle stubs are able to shift outward, and have little engagement with the diff gears, causing the noise, and the lack of drive. That would clearly be a manufacturing problem, as the axle shouldn't be able to shift, and also, a 2515 should have an axle plenty strong enough for a 4515 or whatever it is, 4715, I don't know the TYM models that well.
