I hate to say it , but I think they will lose in the first round versus the Mets.I'm really excited to see how the Phillies do in the playoffs this year. They've had a great season and I think they've got a real shot at making a deep run. As for the Super Bowl, I try not to get too invested in the NFL these days, but I'm always happy to see a good game, no matter who's playing.
I learned years ago end of season win totals are insignificant compared to team momentum at the very end of the season. The Mets are riding an emotional high after beating the Brewers. Game 1 masterpiece pitched by Zack Wheeler was ruined and the Phillies lost.
Lesser teams can beat superior teams on emotional momentum.
The Phillies have to win 3 out of 4 to beat the Mets. That’s going to be very difficult. If they do, they will then have the emotional momentum.
