And the engines that pull and transport all that coal weight use diesel driven generators powering Electric motors.
The final drive stage... Is EV already.
We still need coal. If we get enough molten salt reactors or fusion someday we can probably retire coal as a fuel although Natural gas has taken a big part of coals place as well already.Clearly, envious. Else they wouldn't be posting all those pictures of coal trains of EV fuel.
But strangely coal is good enough to power their computers to post on TBN.
Till then we need every power type, and imo that includes coal, Nuclear, Petroleum. solar, wind , and hydro as well.
Medtran(s) are all over the US now, affordable depends ?This was a thought I had too. A lot of people aren't finding this mode of transport, accessible.

Water is water, why are you so arguementive ( Trad traits contagious...our watercrossings early this week partridge hunting, were up to the doors on our pickup vehicles. No place for an EV for sure.... But admittedly we have more trucks per capita than most places....Oh and I like bacon too thanks.
