No one at the dealership knows, but four other L6060's on the lot have them.

I always assumed they were for the optional quarter window defroster... but you seem to have that defroster and the available plug.

Same as on my Kubota M6040. It's a hot lead. I use mine, with appropriate switch, to power my rear flood light.

Rather than talking to the sales folks - talk to the service techs at your dealership.

Just remove the pillar cover and you'll see for sure.

Original 2 pin Power connector for VHF/UHF Power cords - Power source side is either the connector or it's mate. Often used in HAM radio stuff. It's an auxiliary plug for general 12v key on power. On open station machines it's under the fender rather than over. They are on the Economy & Grand L machines for sure, likely others.

The question shows up frequently.
Seems an odd choice of connectors for a simple 12V power source.
I would much prefer the old cigarette lighter socket.

Lighter sockets are not good at retaining the plug many times. When I use my sprayer on the mower I have to jam a shim of cereal box cardboard in besides the cigarette plug to keep it from popping itself back out.

I suppose it depends on the equipment and how frequently it's used.

I have them wired in both my tractors as well as my vehicles and haven't noticed this problem.

I think the quality can vary a LOT on plug-ins for that common lighter socket... It's only held in with friction from the spring - thus the problems I have seen.

I have it, actually I have a pair of them in my M9000 cab tractor and 1 in my M9 open station and I use both of them in the cab tractor, one to power the computer that runs the round bailer and the other powers my greensaver applicator. You can get the mating connector from a Kubota dealer.
