My wife, "Sharn Jean", is a seamstress. I thought you might like to see the wedding dress she just finished.
This was made for a customer, who is using it at her daughter's wedding. She does nice work.
Years ago during the time of the CB craze there was a bedridden lady that used the handle Dolly. She would make elaborate doll clothes and dolls that she sold.
Sharon made my daughter's wedding dress, and has made several others. She is indeed talented. Thank you all.Very creative for your wife to see something grown-up size and then make it doll sized. Nicely done!
My MIL, a seamstress also, did similar doll clothes work. She passed in 2006, and I still miss that saint...
She said if Judy and I split up, I could come back home and live with them.
And the dolls and clothes still live on in the hands of 30-something year old granddaughters...

When my father was still living, he told my wife the EXACT same thing...My MIL, a seamstress also, did similar doll clothes work. She passed in 2006, and I still miss that saint...

You assume correctly. She saved us bundles of money when we were first married; made all of our girl's clothes until they became brand conscious. She enjoys it, can make or alter most anything, and has as much business as she wants. You're wife is very talented.
Reminds me of my mother who made cakes in her spare time (including wedding cakes). Never a full time job for my mom as she didn't want to do it as a business, but just something she loved to do to make a little extra "fun" money.
Assuming your wife is the same way?
