If so, how would you go about finding it? We have 1/2 dozen in my father's barn. One is from my old '67 D100, the rest are old, but I have no idea what they are.

Solar/off grid heating or cooling. Small solar panel, pump, fan, solar collector to heat water or tub of ice water. For camping or greenhouse.

Heat radiators for exterior wood boiler water circulation.

Used. I have no idea of the condition or what they came from.
Scrap, Separate components (brass, copper, aluminum) to maximize the value. Time consuming though.

They were taken off the vehicle for a reason; they're probably shot. You'll have a hard time identifying what they're for. Scrap 'em - copper/brass prices are up.

Chances are that they were taken off becaise they were good but the vehicles were shot. Still, I believe you are right. Who wants to restore a vehicle, then put an old radiator in when you can buy a new one for $300?

They donated the family still to the local Historical Society years ago.
Until then I didn't even know that we had a family still!

Given the amount of heavy metals and antifreeze, I don't think it would be a good idea.

Back before permanent antifreeze alcohol was antifreeze and required frequent checking because easily boiled off…

Considering copper is hovering around 4 bucks a pound. I believe I'd scrap them.
