Massey Ferguson 1740M Hydro: LOSS OF POWER when hot!

Hi everyone, I am new to the forum.
I have read everybody’s comments.
I have a 2019 1735m with the same exact issues, mine has 500 plus hours. My tractor does not have a cab so no A/C, my runs good for about 15 minutes only with the brush cutter and it starts acting up. The tractor has to cool down for about an hour to go back to normal, one day I brought it back to the house and poured water with a garden hose to the turbo and in about 10 minutes it went back to normal.
It could be the turbo that it is overheating or not sure if it has a sensor that it is bad.

Are all these models that have problems here turbo engines?
If so, are the turbos waste gated?
There is a chance that the waste gate gets stuck open and turbo boost is lost.

I suppose so BUT...why does it consistently wait about 40 minutes worth of operation in the case of the OP? And why does the problem go away if you wait a while? Regardless this is squarely in the lap of AGCO/MF to solve and stop the problem.

Seems to me that there's more than "turbo boost is lost", which may reduce power by what 20-30%? but not force them to crawl up hills.

Is there anything like the opposite, where the exhaust gets closed off?
My '97 F350 PS had a butterfly after the turbo that would be closed to increase turbo backpressure, supposedly to help things warm up more quickly - that was getting stuck at one point and the truck was gutless.

Yes. It is a different size engine but same manufacture. Mine is 50hp 4 cylinder and the OP's is a 3 cylinder 40hp and someone else who chimed in has a 35hp with the same problem. All have turbo and all are the Shibaura engine. One of the common denominators is the turbo.

It may need a certain heat until it binds up.

The poster who said he cooled down the turbo and had power back faster than usual got me to that idea.

The waste gate is an internal bypass that opens when boost pressure is maxed. The exhaust gases bypass the turbine wheel of the turbo if open.
On top of that, the common rail system is sensing turbo boost. It won't inject fuel if there isn't any boost or not enough of it. That prevents it from smoking.

Has there been any resolution on this? I have a little GC1705 22.5 HP that does the exact same thing under a load. It does it under any load, when I have the belly mower engaged, and also when I am doing dirt work with the bucket or a box blade. Powerful at first and then sputters and idles down to almost nothing. It was in the shop for a few weeks, complete maintenance, filters fuel system etc but still no cure. Any help appreciated.

Did you do any basic troubleshooting before you jumped on that wagon?

seeing as how the tractor that this topic applies to uses a turbo, as well as def, prob better to start a new topic as NOTHING in thread would apply to you.
for the record (been there on a GC1710) look at your fuel system pressures. a collapsing hose causes a crapload of issues.
